Jewish Orthodox woman picked for Biden’s National Security Council 

Anne Neuberger, the National Security Agency’s director of the U.S. Cyber Command since 2019, is said to be named deputy national security adviser for cybersecurity in Biden’s incoming National Security Council.

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden is expected to appoint Anne Neuberger, an Orthodox Jewish woman, to serve in a newly created cybersecurity position on the U.S. National Security Council.

The expected pick was first reported by Politico on Wednesday. The Biden transition team and the National Security Agency declined to comment to the outlet about Neuberger’s expected appointment.

Anne Neuberger of Baltimore, an Orthodox Jewish woman, was tapped in 2019 to head the National Security Agency’s new Cybersecurity Directorate.

Israeli intelligence officials spying on Russian government hackers found they were using Kaspersky Lab antivirus software that is also used by 400 million people globally, including US government agencies, according to media reports on Tuesday.

REPORT: Iranian cyber spying group targets US, Israel, Saudi Arabia & Germany

Israel’s Navy is equipping its missile boats with crews & electronics that will safeguard the country’s shores from probing cyber encroachments.

Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov has recently arrived at the shores of Syria accompanied by its companion vessels. The ships are in the area as a deterrent measure, but also in order to collect intelligence via electronic means. As a response, the Israeli Navy has upgraded its cyber warfare capabilities, placing special crews onto its missile boats.

WSJ report thinks Israel spied on hotels which hosted P5+1 nuclear talks

Cybersecurity experts believe that Israel is most likely the party responsible for a wave of espionage targeting hotels used by negotiators in the P5+1-Iran nuclear talks, The Wall Street Journal is reporting on Wednesday.

According to counterhacking experts quoted by the Journal, analysts at a cybersecurity firm discovered traces of a viral software that is widely believed to have been used by Israel in the past to conduct sophisticated digital espionage.

The company, Kaspersky Lab ZAO, conducted an investigation which revealed that it had been targeted by an “improved version” of Duqu, a spyware that American officials believe has been used by Israel in the past to hack into computer systems. Continue Reading »
