Israel bombed dozens of targets in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, striking at Hamas after finding the bodies of three missing teenagers — Gil-ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Frenkel — whose abduction and killing it blames on the Palestinian Islamist group.

Israel’s security cabinet, which held an emergency session late on Monday and was due to meet again on Tuesday, was currently split on the scope of any further action in the coastal enclave and Judea and Samaria, officials said.

Hamas tells Israel: Don’t Attack Gaza Again, or We’ll Attack Haifa

If Israel attacks Gaza, Hamas will attack Haifa, a member of the group threatened on Wednesday.

Speaking at a rally in Gaza, the deputy head of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ahmad Bahr warned Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu against making a “silly move” which may result in an escalation in Gaza.

Abbas commits to disbanding unity gov’t after given proof of Hamas’ kidnapping teens

 

Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki says, “If it turns out that Hamas is behind the kidnapping, there will be grave consequences including disbanding the unity gov’t & putting the reconciliation deal on hold.”

The Palestinian Authority is waiting for the “smoking gun” that Hamas was behind the kidnapping of the three Israeli teens so that President Mahmoud Abbas could officially announce the reconciliation deal void and disband the government, a senior official in Abbas’ office told Israel Hayom.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman is intent on expelling the United Nations special envoy to the Middle East, Robert Serry, after authorities learned that he sought to transfer tens of millions of dollars in aid to Hamas, Channel 2 reported on Saturday.

Embedding another year of military indoctrination of Gaza’s teenage population, Hamas’ official terror summer-camp set to host some 100,000 children this summer.

Hamas in Gaza Strip showcased Thursday their annual summer-camp for Gaza children, inviting journalists to take pictures of the different activities offered to the strip’s youths.

However, instead of classrooms and swimming lessons, the camp boasts military training facilities and uniform-clad children and teens.

The terror camp will host roughly 100,000 children aged 12-16 for seven days a week, three hours a day, Al-Monitor reported. The kids don camouflage fatigues and green berets, and are instructed by some forty members of Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Continue Reading »

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon signed an order on Thursday banning Islam Relief Worldwide. The organization is a source of funding for Hamas, and the ban would prohibit IRW from operating in Israel proper and Judea and Samaria.

“IRW is one of the sources of Hamas’ funding and a means for raising funds from various countries in the world,” Ya’alon said.

Video footage released on Tuesday showed what Palestinian Authority (PA) security officials said was an underground dungeon Hamas had prepared meant to hide abducted Israelis.

The underground facility, with electricity, piped-in air, running water and waste disposal, served as a bunker intended to not only hold hostages, but also to serve as a command center to hold negotiations over their release, according to the officials, Israel’s Channel 2 reported.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry condemned Sunday the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank, adding that “many indications point to Hamas’ involvement.”

In a statement to the press, Kerry called for the immediate release of the three victims, who went missing Thursday from the Gush Etzion cluster of settlements, and stated that the United States is still “seeking details on the parties responsible.”
