Several senior senators have come out with harsh opposition to the deal proposed Tuesday, by which America would release Jonathan Pollard in exchange for the release of over 400 Israeli-held Arab terrorists and a partial construction freeze in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.

Israel to Grant Special Visas to American Investors & Vice Versa

 

As a part of an experimental program with the U.S. State Dept, Israeli businessmen will also be granted benefits, including investor visas allowing them to stay in the U.S. for up to 2 years.

The government has approved Sunday a proposal by Interior Minister Gideon Sa’ar to set unique entry visas to American investors who seek to visit Israel frequently for business. The arrangement is a part of an experimental program in which Israelis seeking to invest in the US and wish to stay there temporarily in order to develop and manage their business, will be given similar special conditions. UN Human Rights Council exemplifies the absurdity of it’s name

 

Human Rights Council makes a mockery of it’s mandate by completely ignoring the world’s victims in its self satisfying personal agenda.

Ignoring continuing Syrian atrocities against it populace on a regular bases and the IDF providing emergency medical attention to the wounded Syrians in Israeli hospitals, the UN Human Rights Council passed with the support of 33 members Agenda Item 7, condemning ‘Israeli treatment of the Syrian population on the Golan Heights.’

Striking Israeli diplomats may be discipline by Finance Ministry

 

The Finance Ministry’s director of wages dept. said he would take harsh actions against all Foreign Ministry workers who locked gov’t ministry buildings or advanced pay to strikers.

 

The Finance Ministry is threatening to file disciplinary charges against striking Foreign Ministry employees and diplomats worldwide.

In a letter sent to the Foreign Ministry union Monday, Kobi Amsalem, director of the treasury’s wages department, threatened disciplinary action against any worker involved in locking the gates of the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem or embassies and consulates overseas or paying salary advances to the striking diplomats.

Kerry ‘Protests’ to Netanyahu Over Ya’alon’s Criticism of American Policies

In a rare move, Secretary of State John Kerry protested to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday over Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon’s strong criticism of US foreign policy, according to AFP. 

Ya’alon slammed the US and the West on Tuesday for its “soft” approach toward the possibility of a nuclear Iran.

IDF troops complete training with Americans on V-22 Osprey

 

Joint military exercise of IDF infantry units & U.S. Marines ended Thursday. 

Israeli Air Force trained on the Osprey, that lifts off & lands  like a helicopter but transforms mid-flight into a high-speed turboprop aircraft. The IAF is planned to begin taking delivery in 2016 of the 6 purchased aircraft.

Israeli defense firm to help secure US border with Mexico

Israeli defense firm Elbit wins $145 million contract to build surveillance towers along Arizona’s border with Mexico.

The Israeli defense company Elbit Systems confirmed on Wednesday that they had received a $145 million contract by the United States Department of Homeland Security to build security towers on Arizona’s border with Mexico.

The company wrote in a press release on their website that the “Integrated Fixed Tower Project” would be implemented “over an approximately 12-month period.”

The work, which will apparently include cameras and radars with the capability to detect human movement, will be carried out by Elbit Systems of America, which is the company’s US subsidiary. Continue Reading »

REPORT: U.S. State Dept. denies visas to Israeli defense officials

The United States is denying visa requests from Israeli military, defense establishment and intelligence officials, according to a report in Maariv.

Israeli defense establishment officials have discussed the matter in private meetings, after noticing a pattern emerging: Hundreds of individuals with ties to Israel’s defense establishment have been denied entry to the U.S. in the past year, or have been allowed in for only three months, according to the report.

According to CBS News, Obama administration officials have communicated to Israeli intelligence their wish for a cessation of the targeting of scientists in order to allow diplomatic negotiations aimed at rolling back Iran’s nuclear program to take their course.

Israeli PM off to Silicon Valley to meet WhatsApp co-founder

Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to sign a “strategic cooperation” agreement with California’s Governor Jerry Brown to promote closer Israel-California economic ties.

 

 

Last week Jewish WhatsApp cofounder Jan Koum sold his company to Facebook for $19 billion; next week he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to discuss hi-tech opportunities in Israel.

WhatsAppNetanyahu, traveling Sunday to Washington and a meeting with US President Barack Obama, is to go to Silicon Valley on Wednesday in an effort to promote hi-tech investments in Israel.
