Analysis: How Hamas is dividing up Palestinian land among supporters

 

Fatah & Hamas are further undermining the Palestinian dream of one day establishing a proper state by stealing their people’s land & dividing it up among their party members.

The lands that once housed Jewish settlements were supposed to transform the Gaza Strip into the Middle East’s Singapore.

Instead, all the grandiose and ambitious plans went down the drain when Hamas seized control over the Gaza Strip in 2007. Since then, the entire Gaza Strip has been transformed into a base for various Islamist groups, which have used Gaza to launch terror attacks against Israel and threaten Egypt’s national security.

Hamas to pay officials’ salaries with evacuated Jewish settlement land

 

Fatah chief & PA President Mahmoud Abbas calls Hamas’ decision to divvy up old settlement land among their officials as ‘dangerous, illegal, & politically unfair.’

The Hamas government in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that it will compensate its officials’ partially paid salaries by distributing land from former Israeli settlements evacuated during Israel’s unilateral disengagement from the strip in 2005.

Israel’s Shin Bet says Palestinian man skimmed cement & building materials for Hamas, that was provided by donor nations & other int’l bodies solely for rehabilitating Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.

A Palestinian resident of the Gaza Strip has been arrested for diverting building materials intended for the rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip to Hamas’s military wing to be used in terrorist activities, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) said Wednesday.

A video that surfaced recently on social media features Yasser Abbas partying at a nightclub in Dubai. He is seen sipping alcohol, which is forbidden under Islam, smoking cigars and partying with belly dancers.

The Palestinian Authority and its collaborators in the mainstream media like to paint the Palestinian-controlled territories as a land oppressed and destitute. But one has only to look at the palatial living standards of the Palestinian leadership to realize something’s fishy.

This week, photos emerged on social media showing the newly completed palace of Palestinian “president” Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah (pictured below). Leaked PA Documents Reveal Rampant Palestinian Corruption Under Mahmoud Abbas 

In yet another episode revealing blatant corruption within the Palestine leadership, leaked documents exposed how PA officials would demand large sums of public money for their personal use.

Newly-leaked documents once again confirm accusations against Palestinian Authority (PA) officials of corruption and misusing public funds. A senior PA official, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed to Associated Press that the documents are authentic.

One item is a request for $4 million from Bahrain, signed by Majd al-Khaldi, PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s senior diplomatic adviser. The money was supposedly needed to build a private complex in Ramallah that would “resist the Israeli settlements.” Continue Reading »

Will a future State of Palestine really be democratic & free? Not according to two-thirds of Palestinian Arabs (especially the Christian Palestinians), who say they fear their own rulers.

Two-thirds of the Palestinian population in Judea and Samaria are afraid to criticize Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, according to a survey conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah.

The United Nations’ Palestinian Arab “refugee” agency, the UNRWA, has described the financial needs as “unprecedented” ahead of the Cairo meeting, which follows Hamas’s third war on Israeli civilians in six years.
