UN staff have carried out thousands of rapes and other sexual violations against women and children over the last decade, according to a former senior United Nations official.

“There are tens of thousands of aid workers around the world with pedophile tendencies, but if you wear a UNICEF T-shirt nobody will ask what you’re up to,” Andrew MacLeod, the former chief of operations at the UN’s Emergency Co-ordination Center, said in an interview with British tabloid The Sun on Monday, adding that an estimated 60,000 cases of sexual exploitation had been committed over the last decade by 3,300 pedophiles working in the organization. Likud MK Nava Boker on Wednesday reacted to the horrific rape of a 20-year-old mentally delayed Jewish girl in southern Tel Aviv two weeks ago, after police lifted a gag order on the arrest of two suspected Arab perpetrators and a hunt after the third Arab rapist.
In revealing the vile gang-rape, police noted that the three Arab attackers – one of whom is an Israeli citizen while the other two hail from Judea-Samaria – acted out of “nationalistic motives” and shouted racist slurs during the attack, which one of them video taped. Continue Reading »
Since Palestinian laws prohibit abortions if the pregnancy is a danger to the mother’s mental health, or even a result of rape or incest, most Palestinian women have no other choice but to turn to Israel, where laws are far more lenient.
“Fatma”, a mother of twins with a demanding workload, was distraught to discover she was pregnant again. Her doctor agreed to perform an abortion, she says, only after she promised to pretend the procedure had been a medical emergency.

Human rights groups report that thousands of women have been raped by Syrian army soldiers in the ongoing war, which is now in its third year and has left 130,000 dead.
