Father Gabriel Naddaf, a Nazareth-based Greek Orthodox Christian priest of Aramean background, has become a symbol and vocal witness of the situation for Christians in Israel, and how that differs from the way Christians are treated everywhere else in the Middle East.

US Judge: Palestinian Authority and PLO must stand trial in US court over terror support

 

Judge George Daniels of the US District court accepted petition from American victims of bombings & shooting attacks in Jerusalem, setting Jan 12, for trial date after his denial of Palestinian Authority’s motion to dismiss decade-running $1 billion class action lawsuit.

U.S. victims of bombings and shootings in Jerusalem more than a decade ago have cleared a final hurdle to take the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization to trial in New York for supporting the attacks.

Convicted Palestinian Terrorist Asks US Court to Be Released Until Sentencing

Rasmieh Odeh, convicted  last week of immigration fraud for hiding her conviction & incarceration as a murdering Palestinian terrorist, asks Judge to remain free until sentencing.

Former Palestinian terrorist, Rasmieh Yousef Odeh was found guilty last week of not disclosing she had been convicted in a 1969 terrorist attack in Israel when she was applying for United States citizenship. Two people were killed in the attack she participated in.

On Wednesday, she petitioned the court to be released from custody until her sentencing hearing, scheduled for March 2015.

Odeh, 67, could face up to 10 years in prison for her conviction, be stripped of her citizenship, and deported. Continue Reading »

REPORT: Vienna school teaches ‘Jews seek control of world’

 

Austrian news magazine reports of a Vienna school board investigation of a private institution known as ‘Saudi School’, for teaching what the magazine calls “a smorgasbord of conspiracy theories & incitement against Jews, Israelis & divergent Muslims.”

A private school in Vienna geared toward Middle Eastern immigrants known as the Saudi School is currently under investigation for reportedly teaching anti-Semitism in a history class.

Cuba Balks at Erdogan’s Proposal to Build Country’s 1st Mosque

Cuba has reportedly rejected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s offer to build the country’s first mosque.

Erdoğan’s offer came during a speech in Istanbul to Muslim leaders from Latin America, in which he made the bizarre claim that Muslims discovered the Americas nearly three centuries before Christopher Columbus.

“Muslim sailors arrived in America from 1178,” Erdoğan said at the televised address.

“Columbus mentioned the existence of a mosque on a hill on the Cuban coast,” he added, and said that Ankara was even prepared to build a mosque at the site mentioned by the Genoese explorer. Continue Reading »

In what turned out to be baseless, 2 representatives of Israel Weapons Industry were jailed in harsh conditions and abused & tortured during their 11 days of incarceration, after being arrested for illegal weapons possession.

Two Israeli representatives of the Israel Weapons Industry (IWI) were arrested in Uganda and held in harsh conditions for almost two weeks on the suspicion they were illegally possessing weapons in what turned out to be a completely baseless arrest.

Turkey’s President Erdogan: Muslims discovered the Americas Centuries Before Columbus

AP – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is claiming that Muslim sailors reached the Americas more than 300 years before explorer Christopher Columbus.

Erdoğan made the comments on Saturday at a gathering of Muslim leaders from Latin America.

“Contacts between Latin America and Islam date back to the 12th century. Muslims discovered America in 1178, not Christopher Columbus,” the president said in a televised speech, according to AFP.

Survey: Over 50% of Poland’s teens search anti-Semitic &/or pro-Hitler websites

The University Center for Research on Prejudice conducted a survey also found that 14% of the survey participant confirmed that racist hate-speech was common in Poland.

 

Over half of Poland’s young people access anti-Semitic Internet sites that praise Hitler and Nazism, the Fox News website reported, citing a Warsaw University study.

US Supreme Court to end decade long drama on Jerusalem passport case

The Justices will determine whether “Israel” can appear on U.S. issued passports of Americans that were born in Israel’s capital.

The US Supreme Court is expected on Monday to make its final historic decision on whether Americans born in Jerusalem can have “Israel” written on their passports as their place of birth.

The case, Zivotofsky v. Kerry, has been winding through the US courts for years with major setback decisions followed by unexpected decisions putting the case back on track.

The policy of the US, both under Republican and Democratic presidents, since the founding of the State of Israel has been that passports of Americans born in Jerusalem will read merely “Jerusalem” as place of birth, not “Israel.” Continue Reading »

Kenya hires Israeli biometric firm for national ID project to stem terror

Unnamed Israeli company, chosen to aid in the fight against terror, will gather biometric data and issue e-cards in Kenya’s endeavor to increase security in East African nation.

 

An unnamed Israeli firm has signed a deal to help Kenya develop a biodata system for issuing ID cards to all its citizens, which the government hopes will aid it in the fight against terror, The East African reported Saturday.
