The Jerusalem Post obtained new information from informed sources this week that Hamas used violence and threats against UN personnel in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge.

It was discovered that during the operation Hamas was hiding weapons in facilities run by the UN aid agency UNRWA and firing rockets from nearby proximity to UNRWA schools. The Post has now learned that UNRWA workers were subject to Hamas threats at gun-point during the operation.

Developer of Iron Dome is now developing system to counter cyber attacks on Israel

Father of Iron Dome, Danny Gold & Isaac Ben-Israel are developing a cyber-system that will be able to detect, target then attack hackers.

The project, expected to cost several hundreds of millions of shekels, will be funded by the Israel’s Defense Ministry.

Michael Gove, the UK Chief Whip, says far from eradicating the hatred of Jews, anti-Semitism in Europe is now considered ‘chic’ by some.

 

Europe has forgotten the warning of the Holocaust and is plagued by a “virus” of anti-Semitism, Chief Whip Michael Gove said, adding that the hatred of Jews has attained a “radical chic” in certain circles, U.K. daily The Telegraph reported.

Israel’s New 50 Shekel Bill Unveiled

The Bank of Israel on Wednesday released the first samples to the Israeli market of its new 50 shekel (just under $15) banknote that is posed to enter circulation.

Pew poll: Israelis happier than most nationalities about their country & economy

 

In contrast to Israel’s 49% satisfaction rate,  only 33% of Americans said they were satisfied with the direction the U.S. was going.

Half of Israel’s population believes the country is going in the right direction, and 59 percent believe the economy is good, making Israelis among the least dissatisfied people in the world, according to Pew poll released on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Defense together with the US Missile Defense Agency test fired an Arrow 2 interceptor in central Israel on Tuesday morning.

The trial was aimed at examining the capabilities of the latest version of the air defense system against future threats.
