4 Katyusha Rocket Attacks via Sinai launched the IAF hit on Ahmed Jabri

Arab terrorists Wednesday afternoon attacked Israel shooting 4 Katyusha rockets from either the Sinai or from Gaza through the Sinai.

By Arutz Sheva

Arab terrorists Wednesday attacked the south with four Katyusha rockets from the Sinai, an Israeli security source confirmed. No one was injured, and no property damage was reported, but at least one missile exploded between homes.

One of the rockets was fired towards the community of Bnei Netzarim without causing any injuries, a security source said. The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood government is ostensibly responsible for protecting the Sinai from terrorists.

“What we know for sure is that there were four explosions in Bnei Netzarim and there is a sense within the army that they were fired from Sinai and not from Gaza,” the source said. Continue Reading »

Some years ago, in his efforts to persuade the public that marijuana is far less of a health menace than alcohol, Tvert famously challenged both the mayor of Denver and the heir to the Coors brewing fortune to a sort of intoxication duel: Tvert would smoke pot while the others drank, and they would see who dropped dead first.

He stressed that Germany feels it is very important to maintain its relations with Israel but doubted this would still be relevant in 20 years. Continue Reading »

Israel Opting to Declare Oslo Dead & Buried

Israel’s Foreign Ministry notes that Abbas has basically destroyed the Oslo Accords in his unilateral decision to appeal to the UN General Assembly, and as such the FM may officially declare them canceled.

By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

The Foreign Ministry has told its ambassadors to explain that the Palestinian Authority’s plan to ask for United Nations recognition is a violation of the Oslo Accords and may cause Israel to officially announce that it is “canceling them partially or completely.”  The agreement commits the PA to negotiate with Israel for the establishment of an independent PA entity.

“You are asked immediately at the beginning of the work week to contact the foreign ministry, prime minister’s office, national security adviser or president’s office and request to do all possible to halt the Palestinian initiative because of its far-reaching consequences,” the ambassadors were instructed in a cable from Aharon Leshno-Yaar, director of the Foreign Ministry’s department for international organizations. Young students chase each other as they run to catch the morning school assembly, as hundreds of residents hurriedly pass stalls laden with fruits, vegetables, sweets and shoes.

It’s another day in this congested camp, the largest Palestinian refugee camp in the Middle East and one of 13 camps in the kingdom.

However, officials expressed doubt that the Syrian security forces, which are fighting rebels along the border with Israel, can exercise such control. In many cases, the rebels approach the border during battles with President Bashar Assad‘s army, counting on the security forces to hold fire in order to avoid hitting Israel. Continue Reading »

No longer the ‘resistance’ party, Hezbollah is eating itself

Hezbollah’s reputation as an honest defender of the weak is being destroyed, ironically not by Israel but by the party itself. Many Lebanese started to slowly discover that Hezbollah in power doesn’t equal openness and transparency, but instead the same old corruption stories.

Jordanian textbooks name Israel on their maps…but not Palestine

A few Maps featured in two new textbooks distributed among Jordanian school kids fail to mark Palestine and the Hashemite Kingdom,  but includes Israel

By Roi Kais

Two textbooks given out to Jordanian school children caused an uproar among anti-Zionist groups in the Hashemite Kingdom recently by listing Israel on the map of the Middle East – but failing to include Jordan and Palestine.

The textbooks, which were distributed by the Jordanian education ministry among students in grades one through 12, teach students about health; but a drawn map featured on some of the pages seems to relay a skewed lesson in geography: While Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Iraq are all marked, Jordan isn’t. Irwin Cotler, a former Canadian justice minister, noted in his motion that by rejecting the United Nation’s partition plan of 1947-1948, Arab states had “launched their double aggression of a war against the nascent Jewish state and assaults on their own Jewish nationals, resulting in two refugee populations, Palestinian refugees and Jewish refugees from Arab countries.” Continue Reading »

Turkish TV host writes: Turkey & Israel

By AYLIN KOCAMAN

The view of one country’s government may not always agree with that of another, but such problems at government level among friendly countries are generally artificial and temporary. And they never reflect the general thinking and attitudes of the public.Turkey and Israel are two friendly countries. Two countries in the most important part of the world. And in the most inflammable and dangerous part of the world. But they also have other things in common.

Exclusive Arutz-7 Photos: This is How IEC Workers Power Up Gaza Terrorists & Stays Safe

Photographs show Israel Electric Company electrician protected behind a huge metal wall hoisted by a crane as he repairs Gaza power cable.

By Gil Ronen

The photographs below were taken by an anonymous Arutz Sheva reader who witnessed a strange scene on the Gaza perimeter recently. They show an Israel Electric Company (IEC) employee hoisted on a crane in order to fix a malfunction that denied electricity to Gaza City.

The operation, which of course is carried out by Israel for the benefit of Gazans, has to be carried out with military protection, because Gaza terrorists regularly target Israelis on the perimeter fence, including those they know are trying to assist them by fixing infrastructure or letting in goods.
