Muslims Openly Attack Jews on the Streets of Lyon

Two Jews were suddenly attacked on the streets as they walked to their synagogue on Saturday.

Anti-Semitism continues to plague France. According to local media outlets in Lyon, two Jewish residents of the city were attacked Saturday as they walked to a local synagogue.

The two were attacked by three men of Arab origin in an unprovoked, sudden assault.

The two Jews shouted for help. Neighbors began to arrive at the scene, and the attackers fled.

Police arrived as well, and began to investigate. They discovered that the attack had been captured on film by security cameras at a nearby store. Continue Reading »

The caricature that appeared Tuesday in the Dagbladet newspaper –- the country’s third largest in terms of circulation — showed police officers looking on as a bearded man wearing a black hat and black coat sticks a three-tooth pitchfork into the head of a blood-soaked baby while holding a book.

4th Time in Month Synagogue Defaced

Synagogue established & frequented by Holocaust survivors is defaced with crosses, sending one member into shock.

Jews who came to pray at the Haohel synagogue in Bat Yam on Wednesday morning were shocked and appalled to find that it had been defaced for the fourth time in a month.

This time, vandals spray-painted two large crosses on the building, one on either side of the main entrance.

Switzerland refuses entry to Saudi cleric for anti-Semitic rhetoric

BERLIN – The Swiss government extended its ban of the radical Saudi Islamist scholar Muhammad al-Arefe because of his anti-Semitic and misogynist ideologies.

The website GulfNews.com reported on his denial of entry into Switzerland on Monday.

The Swiss government initially barred al-Arefe from entering the country in December to attend the second annual conference of the Swiss Central Islamic Council.

Germany permitted al-Arefe to deliver talks in April and last year at an Islamic center that houses a kindergarten in the city of Mainz.

Text under the picture says, “Keep the world clean.”

“My grandparents were Jewish, so many of the Maduros, same as the Moors [Muslims], converted to Catholicism in Venezuela,” Maduro told Apporea, a pro-government media outlet, last week. “The mother of the Minister of Communication and Information Ernesto Villegas is of the same tradition.”

During the interview, Maduro rejected allegations he attributed to Claudio Epelman, executive director of the Latin American Jewish Congress, that his government was anti-Semitic.

Church of Scotland back-peddles on denial of Jewish right to Israel

After meeting with senior Jewish leaders in Britain on Thursday, the Church of Scotland has agreed to change the wording of a controversial paper which denies Jews any special claim to the land of Israel, the Guardian reported.

The paper, entitled “The Inheritance of Abraham,” rejects “claims that scripture offers any peoples a privileged claim for possession of a particular territory.” The paper further states that “reconciliation can only be possible if the Israeli military occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem and the blockade of Gaza are ended.”
