IDF responds to Hamas shelling IDF in 3rd incident of the day

 

This is the 4th time in the past 2 days that Palestinians in Gaza opened fire at IDF soldiers searching for Hamas terror-tunnels on Israel’s border.

IDF troops shelled Hamas military posts in the Gaza Strip for three times on Wednesday in response to mortar shell fire at forces operating near the border fence. There have been four incidents of fire opened on Israel8i troops on the frontier over the past two days. There were no Israeli soldiers hurt in any of the incidents.

On Monday morning, Palestinians fired a mortar shell at IDF soldiers doing engineering work near the border fence, leading the army to respond with tank fire at a Hamas observation point near a landfill in southern Gaza, not far from the Sufa Crossing. Continue Reading »

Hamas billionaire & political leader boasts of group building tunnels, rockets

 

Hamas billionaire leader Ismail Haniyeh, says his Islamic group is preparing daily for its next conflict with Israel, and is constantly working on building newer offensive attack-tunnels & replenishing its vast rocket supply.

Deputy Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said on Friday that the organization is digging new tunnels and testing rockets in order to develop and improve them. “The resistance is digging east of Gaza and conducting rocket tests west of Gaza on a daily basis,” he said.

Haniyeh, who is Khaled Mashal‘s deputy at Hamas’s political bureau, made the comments in a speech during Friday prayers ahead of the funerals of seven Hamas military operatives killed this week in a tunnel collapse in Gaza, not far from the border with Israel. Continue Reading »

Israeli combat jets struck targets in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip following earlier rocket fire on Israeli communities bordering the Palestinian enclave, Palestinian media reported early Thursday morning.

Hours earlier, three missiles fired from the Strip landed in open areas in the Sdot Negev Regional Council in after sirens warning of incoming rockets blared across the south of Israel Thursday evening.

Once Again Gaza Launches Rockets at Southern Israel

The “Red Alert” siren was heard on Wednesday night at around 11:00 p.m. (local time) in some communities in southern Israel.

Sirens were heard, among other places, in the Ashkelon and Netivot areas.

Two rockets from Gaza exploded in the Sdot Negev region. There were no physical injuries or damages.

Just last week, terrorists from Gaza fired a Grad rocket towards southern Israel. The rocket exploded near the community of Gan Yavneh, near Ashdod. Continue Reading »

IDF responds with artillery fire after IDF army jeep shot at near Gaza border

Today was 1st time since Israel’s summer ‘Operation Protective Edge’ that IDF forces opened fire on the coastal enclave.

IDF jeep’s bullet-proof window was damaged, but no one was hurt.

An Israel Defense Forces jeep patrolling the Gaza border was fired at on Thursday, prompting the army to respond with artillery fire, for the first time since the summer’s Operation Protective Edge.

The jeep’s window was damaged, but no one was wounded in the incident.

Hamas Arrests Gaza Terrorists Responsible for Mortar Fire on Israel

 

Israeli defense officials report that Hamas has arrested the renegade terrorists responsible for a non-sanctioned mortar attack on Israel’s southern region.

Senior defense officials said on Tuesday night that Hamas has arrested the terrorists who were responsible for the mortar fire on the Eshkol region earlier in the evening.

According to the officials, Hamas had passed a message to Israel after the shooting that it would arrest and punish those responsible for the shooting, and did just that.

One official quoted by Channel 2 News said that Hamas was quick to react and arrest the terrorists, fearing that the fighting in Gaza would resume. Continue Reading »

The Israel Air Force struck terror sites in the central and southern Gaza Strip, Friday afternoon, according to the IDF Spokesman’s Office.

The reason for the strike is still unconfirmed.

Earlier in the day, explosive device detonated near the southern border of the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported. No injuries were reported in that incident.

An explosive was detonated on Friday morning on the security barrier right by Kibbutz Nirim, located in the Eshkol Regional Council just outside of the Hamas-enclave of Gaza.

The blast went off as an IDF patrol passed through the area, in what apparently was a targeted attack. IDF reports that no soldiers were injured, although light damage apparently was inflicted on an army vehicle.

The Israeli Air Force attacked a terror target in Sudaniya in the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday night, Palestinian sources said. According to the Palestinians, one person was killed and two others were wounded in the strike, one critically.

IDF soldiers on Friday opened fire on a group of Palestinians who breached the security zone approaching Gaza’s border with Israel, damaging the fence and throwing stones at troops.

The IDF stated that two Palestinians were injured in the incident. According to Palestinian sources the men were moderately wounded.

The incident came after a rocket was fired from Gaza into southern Israel early on Thursday morning, landing in the Ashkelon Coast Council area.
