IDF artillery destroy Hezbollah structures after border explosion injures 2 Israeli soldiers

 

Second blast occurred on border about 30 minutes after 1st incident, but no injuries in 2nd explosion. Hezbollah took responsibility for attack.

Two IDF soldiers were lightly injured when a Hezbollah bomb went off in their vicinity in the Har Dov region on Tuesday, the IDF Spokesman’s Unit said.

The IDF said it shelled two Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon in response to the border bombing. Some 30 minutes after the incident a second explosion occurred on the border. There were no injuries or damage in the second blast. Continue Reading »

IED Explodes Near IDF Post in Golan Heights Wounding 2 soldiers

2 IDF soldiers lightly, & moderately wounded after improvised explosive device (IED) detonates near Israel’s border with Lebanon; IDF informs UNIFL & returns artillery fire at southern Lebanon.

Two IDF soldiers were wounded when a blast went off near an IDF outpost on Mount Dov in the Golan Heights. IDF confirmed it has returned fire into Lebanon and the soldiers sustained light to moderate wounds, respectively.

As Philippine peacekeepers enter Israel from Syria’s danger, UN investigates Israel as criminals

The Philippine military said Friday the bulk of Filipino peacekeepers of more than 240 soldiers have pulled out two weeks early from the UN mission in the Golan Heights due to escalating fighting in the region.

The 244 Filipino soldiers and support staff will arrive in Manila on a UN-chartered plane on Friday, Military spokesman Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala said.

IDF Soldier Wounded in the Golan By Stray Gunfire From Syria

Stray gunfire from Syria wounded an Israeli soldier in the Golan Heights on Monday, the army said.

“An IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldier was injured by errant fire from internal fighting in Syria. He was evacuated to hospital,” an army statement said, without elaborating.

The soldier is reportedly from the Armored Corps., which is currently stationed along the Israeli-Syrian border.

IDF sources told Arutz Sheva Monday that the gunfire surfaces after a full day of quiet along the border, with no shots or explosions heard on the Syrian side. Continue Reading »

Talking to senior sources, the Independent reported that “Irish soldiers would have been killed or taken hostage by Islamist extremists if it wasn’t for the military intervention of the Israeli army during last week’s battle to save besieged UN soldiers.”

Sounds of heavy fighting continued Friday afternoon on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights where Bashar Assad’s army continued in efforts to dislodge the al-Qaeda affiliated militants who recently captured areas surrounding the Quneitra border crossing with Israel.

Syrian rebels have taken UN personnel prisoner after they took over the area near the Quneitra border crossing on the Golan Heights. The UN personnel were stationed on the Syrian side of the border.

Syria Fires on Israel but Rocket Falls Short, Landing in Syrian Territory

Sirens were heard on Thursday evening in the northern Golan Heights, near the border with Syria.

A rocket was fired from Syria but, according to the IDF Spokesperson, it exploded on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights and did not hit Israeli territory.

At the beginning of the week, a mortar shell from Syria was fired towards the Israeli side of the Golan Heights and exploded near the Druze village of Mas’ade.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) bombed several terror targets in the city of Quneitra, Syria overnight Tuesday, following a volley of rockets on the Golan Heights, Syrian media reported.

Between four and twelve people were killed in the airstrike; exact numbers have varied among news outlets.

Spain & Italy warns citizens: Don’t invest in E. Jerusalem, Jewish settlements or Golan Heights

Italy and Spain join Germany, U.K. & France in advising against possible legal and financial risks for those investing in Israel.

 

The Spanish and Italian governments issued a warning to their citizens on Friday against doing business with Israeli settlements in the West Bank, in East Jerusalem, and in the Golan Heights. The foreign ministries of both countries announced that companies engaging in economic activity in the settlements would be making themselves vulnerable to a series of risks.

According to the announcements made by Spain and Italy, the European Union and its member states do not recognize Israeli rule in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, which were conquered in 1967, and regard the settlements as illegal in international law.

At least one person is dead and several are injured in an explosion on the Israeli side of the Golan Heights Sunday, after an explosive device was detonated near a passing vehicle.

Israel Air Force strikes Syria & Gaza in response to fire

 

Fire originating from Syrian territory was directed towards IDF military post on Mount Hermon in Israel’s northern Golan Heights.

 

The Israeli military said it fired into Syria on Monday morning in response to high trajectory force that struck the northern Golan Heights.

According to the Israel Defense Force, no one was wounded in the shooting from the Syrian side, which landed near a military post at Mount Hermon earlier Monday morning, and no damage was incurred.

Initially, the army said it responded with artillery fire.
