U.N. Confirms: Syrian Rebels on Golan Heights Capture 43 U.N. Peacekeepers

Syrian rebels have taken UN personnel prisoner after they took over the area near the Quneitra border crossing on the Golan Heights. The UN personnel were stationed on the Syrian side of the border.

Al Qaeda, Hamas & Hezbollah Flags Wave in Jerusalem

During an Arab wedding procession in Jerusalem’s Old City on Thursday night, the Jewish state’s 3,000-year-old capital bore witness to a multitude of terrorist organization flags.

Participants in the wedding, who received permission from the police to hold the procession in the Old City, waved the flags of terror groups including Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, and Hamas, alongside the flag of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

As they marched with the flags, the Arab revelers chanted slogans insulting Israel and Judaism, such as “even with the rifle, the (‘Palestinian’) nation will live and will not die,” and “we will write on the pistol: Al-Aqsa (Jerusalem) is holy to us.” Continue Reading »

Terrorist Naim Abbas, the Palestinian leader of am Al Qaeda-linked group, the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, was arrested by the Lebanese army after setting a car bomb.

The Lebanese Army arrested a senior Al Qaeda leader Wednesday – Naim Abbas, who is the deputy chief of the Al Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades.

The Lebanese branch of Abdullah Azzam Brigades, the Al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group which claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack on Iran’s embassy in Beirut was initially established by Iran, according to a Middle East counter-terror expert.

An Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group that fired multiple rockets on Israel from Lebanon, has claimed responsibility for attacking Iran’s embassy in Lebanon’s capital.

An Al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group calling itself the Abdullah Azzam Brigades has claimed responsibility for the attack Tuesday on the Iranian embassy in Beirut. The attack killed 23 people, among them an Iranian attaché, and wounded an additional 146.

The attack was carried out by two suicide bombers.

State’s attorney told the High Court on Monday that Samer al-Barq, the Al Qaeda terrorist Israel has been holding for 3 years for security concerns, needs to remain incarcerated.

Samer Halmi Abdel Latif Al-Barq, the Al Qaeda terrorist Israel has been holding for three years, needs to remain in jail, the State told the High Court on Monday. Al-Barq, through an attorney, petitioned the Court to be released, because after such a long incarceration, he did not pose a threat to anyone.

Israel’s Security agency says Israeli Arabs are joining rebel forces in Syria operating with al-Qaeda, and whose training may be used later against Israel.

A disconcerting Shin Bet assessment warns that Arab Israelis are joining rebel forces in Syria and working with al-Qaeda terrorists.

According to the review, submitted to the State Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Court, there is a possibility that Arab Israelis who are being trained in Syria may use their knowledge against Israel – both by spreading ideologies and by using intel and military capabilities they’ve learned there.

Egypt places Sinai on High Alert as Al Qaeda digs in

Egyptian security chiefs have placed Sinai on alert following Al Qaeda terrorist activity in the peninsula.

The Egyptian government has declared a high alert in the Sinai Peninsula following a high level of Al Qaeda terrorist activity in the region.

The terrorists have set up a military base in central Sinai, Egyptian security officials told the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency on Monday.

Curfews have been imposed on the Sinai cities of El-Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Rafiah, which straddles the border with Hamas terrorist-ruled Gaza.

Some 30 jihadists from Gaza entered the region via the tunnels, officials said, and it is believed they may join demonstrations against the Muslim Brotherhood planned for June 30. Continue Reading »

Syrian Group of Al-Qaeda Rebels Now Positioned on Israeli Border

The IDF confirmed reports that Syrian rebel forces, most likely affiliated with Al Qaeda, now control areas of the Syrian Golan city of Kuneitra.

The IDF verified reports Thursday morning that Syrian rebel forces had conquered parts of the Golan city of Kuneitra, placing them directly on the border with Israel. IDF officials said that the takeover of the area by rebel forces was a “significant development.”

During the battle between rebel and Syrian army forces, a mortar shell fell on a UN observer base in the area. A UN worker was injured. IDF officials have advised agricultural workers in the border area to stay away from the border until the security situation can be clarified. Continue Reading »

IDF forces are on high alert in the Golan Heights, carefully scrutinizing the border with Syria, as opposition forces begin to consider a new target: Israel.

Syrian rebels have penetrated the demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating Syria from Israel. The status of the area respected by both Israel and Syria since the end of the Yom Kippur War, though both are technically still at war, is apparently respected no longer.

Wanted: Seeking ‘suicide bombers’ for Al-Qaeda

Global terror group recruiting new militants via radical Islamists’ message boards;  position requires candidates to prove ‘previous experience’

Global terror group al-Qaeda is in need of new recruits and like all other modern enterprises, if the buddy system fails – online message boards just might do the trick.

According to a Tuesday report in Yedioth Ahronoth, the terror group posted an employment opportunity in June, on a message board known as a restricted forum frequented by radical Islamists. The position offered – “suicide bomber.”
