Gill Rosenberg, the Israeli-Canadian, who joined Kurdish forces in their battle against the radical Islamic State terror group and was said to have been taken captive by the group, posted on her Facebook page Monday night to say that she was “safe and secure.”

The Canadian- Israeli woman who joined the ranks of Kurdish fighters battling Islamic State earlier this month has been kidnapped by the organization that she went to fight, Channel Two reported on Sunday citing Syrian jihadi websites.

Female IDF Soldier Joins Kurds to Fight ISIS

31 yr-old former IDF warrior becomes 1st Israeli to volunteer to join the Kurds in their desperate war against the Islamic State.

A female former IDF soldier has become the first Israeli to publicly join Kurdish forces battling against ISIS in Syria and Iraq, the nation learned on Tuesday.

“I’m on the Iraq-Syria border, and we’re currently about 3,000 meters from ISIS,” Gill Rosenberg, 31, told Israel Radio in a telephone interview from the battlefield. “I was given an RPG by the Kurdish army,” she said.

Rosenberg is a civil aviation pilot and served in an Israeli army search-and-rescue unit.

Reports around the Arab world are claiming that the establishment of a caliphate in the Sinai is the first step towards its “advance on Jerusalem.”

Egypt’s most active and notorious terror group, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, has sworn allegiance to ISIS in Sinai.

Israeli Physician joined Islamic State, Killed in Combat

Dr. Othman Abdel-Kian, a resident at the Barzilai Medical Center, was killed in fighting according to Arab media sources.

 

A doctor who worked as an intern at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon joined the Islamic State, the hospital confirmed on Sunday.

Arab media outlets reported that the doctor, Othman Abdel-Kian, was killed while fighting with the terrorist group.

Abdel-Kian, said to be a 26-year-old resident from the Bedouin village of Hura, completed his medical studies in Jordan and passed the tests to receive a temporary medical license to practice in Israel.

The Israeli aid agency worked with Canadian ONEXONE to deliver a convoy to a 14,000-strong refugee camp carrying 2,000 blankets and mattresses, as well as enough powdered milk for all the 1,015 babies under one year of age. American journalist Steven Sotloff, who was brutally beheaded by the Islamic State terrorist group, took great risks to keep his Jewish faith in captivity, a former fellow-captive of the murdered journalist told Yediot Aharonoth.

However, it turns out that Sotloff was in fact Israeli.

A media gag order on the issue was released on Wednesday, allowing publication of the fact that Sotloff made aliyah (immigration) to Israel in 2005 by himself, and studied at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya.

Egypt security officials arrests 15 ISIS militants that entered Sinai via Gaza tunnels

After tracking militant cell crossing from Gaza through tunnels at Rafah, Egyptian special forces arrest 15 militants.

Egyptian special forces tracked and arrested a terrorist cell which had used tunnels to cross from Gaza into the Sinai Peninsula, Ma’ariv reported on Saturday. The 15 militants arrested belong to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Further interrogation of the cell by Egyptian forces revealed that the group’s intent was to relay messages and set up terrorist cells for the ISIS in Egypt, to fight the Egyptian government.
