The Mossad’s glossy website went up years ago to boost recruitment for analysts & officers amid increasingly fierce competition from Israel’s booming private hi-tech sector.

REUTERS – It is already common for intelligence agencies to recruit their officers online, but Israel’s Mossad has gone one further by touting for local agents and informants too.

Israel, which has full diplomatic ties with only two Arab countries, Egypt and Jordan, lacks embassies elsewhere in the Middle East that would-be informants could turn to, leaving it in need of other local recruitment channels.

In a released video, the Sinai’s most dangerous militant group, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, said the 4 Egyptian men had been spying for Israel’s Mossad spy agency.

REPORT: U.S. State Dept. denies visas to Israeli defense officials

Maariv reports: Mossad, IDF & Shin Bet officials were rejected entry visas. American Embassy says, ‘All visa requests examined individually.’

 

 

The United States is denying visa requests from Israeli military, defense establishment and intelligence officials, according to a report in Maariv.

Israeli defense establishment officials have discussed the matter in private meetings, after noticing a pattern emerging: Hundreds of individuals with ties to Israel’s defense establishment have been denied entry to the U.S. in the past year, or have been allowed in for only three months, according to the report.

According to CBS News, Obama administration officials have communicated to Israeli intelligence their wish for a cessation of the targeting of scientists in order to allow diplomatic negotiations aimed at rolling back Iran’s nuclear program to take their course.

Australian Book: Israeli Secret Agent ‘Prisoner X’ passed intel to an Iranian

In a new book by an old friend from a Zionist youth group in Australia, arrested & jailed Mossad agent Ben Zygier told an Iranian contact too much.

The former Mossad agent, Australian born Ben Zygier, who committed suicide in an Israeli prison cell more than three years ago passed classified information about Israeli espionage activities to an Iranian businessman. The information Zygier shared included details on operations that he was involved in.

These claims were made in the book Prisoner X by journalist Rafael Epstein that was recently published in Australia.

Canadian businessman claims Ottawa granted Israeli Mossad agent new identity

Arian Azarbar claims a  Israeli agent was granted a new identity & passport after allegedly participating in the 2010 Dubai mission of assassinating senior Hamas terrorist, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, in his hotel room.

Egyptian prosecutors have accused the eight of espionage and supplying Israel with information impacting Egypt’s national security, the sources said on Sunday.

The intelligence body plans to take part in Monday’s job fair at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba, where students heading into the labor market will be recruited by no less than 30 of Israel’s leading companies.

The fair will feature companies specializing in technology, finance, management, and medicine. The firms that plan on taking part include Marvell, EMC, Intel, Maccabi Pharm, Prigo, Check Point, Elbit Systems, the Jewish Agency, Israel Aircraft Industries, Raphael, Amdocs, and Orange. Declassified Secret Report: Mandela received Mossad training in Ethiopia

Nelson Mandela received training from Israel’s Mossad in the 1960s, an Israeli government document has revealed.

Mandela, the former South African president and anti-apartheid leader who died earlier this month, was trained by Mossad agents in weaponry and sabotage in 1962, according to a report Thursday in Haaretz that was based on a document in the Israel State Archives labeled “Top Secret.”

The document, a letter sent from the Mossad to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, said Mossad operatives also attempted to encourage Zionist sympathies in Mandela, Haaretz reported.

President Shimon Peres gave citations of excellence to 12 of the espionage agency’s finest, with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Mossad Head Tamor Pardo in attendance.
