IDF discovers terrorist tunnel leading from Gaza to kibbutz kindergarten

 

Entrance to 1.7km long Palestinian terrorist tunnel was discovered near a kibbutz kindergarten.

The IDF recently uncovered a Palestinian terrorist tunnel leading from the Gaza Strip to Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha, they announced on Sunday.

The tunnel was dug in order to either kidnap civilians and soldiers, or to infiltrate the community and carry out an atrocity in it, the army believes.

The tunnel was over 1.7 kilometers in length and represents a grave attempt by Palestinian terrorists to perpetrate an attack, army sources added.

Colonel (Res.) Seraiah Ofer was killed in an attack outside his home in the Jordan Valley settlement of Brosh Habika at 10 P.M. Thursday night. His wife Monique was moderately wounded, but managed to escape and contact police.

The terror suspect, who is in custody, told security forces he led the soldier, with whom he worked together in a restaurant in Bat Yam, to the West Bank, where he committed the murder.

Memorial plans for Munich Olympics Massacre unveiled

Bavarian Minister of Education & Cultural said the memorial will attempt to address questions about the impact of the attack and the importance of remembrance.

 

BERLIN — Plans for a memorial in Munich to 11 Israelis and a German police officer murdered at the 1972 Summer  Olympics there were unveiled.

Munich Olympic MassacreWednesday’s news conference at the Bavarian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs announcing plans for the memorial took place a day before a ceremony in Israel marking the 41st anniversary of the attack by the Palestinian terrorist group Black September.

The planned hall of remembrance is slated to be built near the site that housed the games and will cost 1.7 million euros (approximately $2.25 million).

The IDF and the Shin Bet arrested some two weeks ago in Nablus a Palestinian man in his 20s, most likely just as he was about to travel to a city in central Israel, where he was planning to perpetrate attacks with a knife.

The Shin Bet said that a Hamas cell, comprising nine residents of the Bani Naim village, planned to murder an Israeli in the Jewish agricultural area near the village and to hide the body and demand the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the corpse.

Arab man shoots at two people in Wadi Kelt, none hurt. IDF investigating

A terrorist opened fire at two people on Thursday evening in Wadi Kelt, near Mitzpeh Yericho. The two were attacked as they sat in a car.

The two people targeted, an Israeli woman from Mevaseret Tzion and a European tourist, were not hurt.

The two told police that they had been touring the area when they noticed an Arab man nearby acting suspiciously. When they returned to their car, he attempted to shoot them.

The IDF is investigating the incident. A unit pursued the shooter, who apparently fled to the wadi. Continue Reading »

Soldiers at the Tapuach checkpoint in Samaria have arrested a Palestinian Authority resident who had planned to commit an attack.

The would-be attacker approached the checkpoint late Wednesday morning. When he was around 40 meters away, he began to show signs of stress. Soldiers noticed that he was carrying a bag, which caused them to suspect he may have a bomb.

Arab Gang Kidnapped & Beat Israeli Cabbie

A Palestinian Authority gang kidnapped a 70 year-old Israeli taxi driver, beat him, & then threw him out along the road to Ramallah.

Two Palestinian Authority resident Arab men have been arrested in connection to the kidnapping and beating of an elderly Israeli cab driver. The attack in question took place in January, but was under a gag order until Wednesday.

 

The attack began when the cab driver, 70, picked up three Arab men as passengers. The three asked him to stop, then pounced on him and tied a rope around his neck and beat him. Continue Reading »

An indictment has been filed in the Tel Aviv District Court against the Israeli Arab man suspected of planting a bomb on a Tel Aviv bus on Nov. 21.

Mohammed Mafarja, an 18-year-old resident of Taybeh, was charged with aiding the enemy during wartime, conspiring to commit a crime and 27 counts of attempted murder, among other charges.
