The Trump administration ordered the closure of the Palestinian diplomatic mission in Washington on Monday, citing the refusal of Palestinian leaders to enter into peace talks with Israel, prompting the Palestinians to accuse the administration of dismantling decades of US engagement with them.
The State Department said the US step—the latest in a series targeting the Palestinians—came after a review of the office of the Palestine Liberation Organization centered on the fact that no “direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel” are underway despite previous warnings. Continue Reading »

In 1994 Clinton waived a law prohibiting the PLO from having a mission in Washington, contingent on the Palestinians not charging Israelis at the Int’l Criminal Court. Palestinian despot Abbas broke US law by breaking the conditions of the agreement, and now, PLO officials are threatening the Trump Administration for the consequences.
• In 2011, Obama (the following Democrat President) allowed the Palestinians fly their flag over the Washington office, a de facto status upgrade of the mission that the Palestinians hailed as historic.

Israel is no longer allowing relatives to visit jailed Hamas terrorists, the Gaza-based terror organization claimed on Thursday.
Abd El-Rahman Shadid, who heads up Hamas’ bureau of prisoner affairs, declared in a written statement to Arab journalists that Israel had revoked the visitation rights of jailed terrorists affiliated with the Hamas terror group.
According to Shadid, the decision to halt visits to jailed Hamas terrorists is tied to Israeli efforts to bring about the return of two murdered IDF soldiers – Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin – whose bodies have been held by Hamas since 2014. Continue Reading »
