Israel Police Arrested 3 Jerusalem Arabs for Destroying Jewish Gravestones

 

Israel Police in Jerusalem makes arrests after dozens of headstones & memorials were smashed on the Mount of Olives. 
• One 22 yr-old suspect, denies allegations, but 2 minors admitted to detectives to defacing graves & went on to implicate additional suspects.

Detectives and investigators from the Jerusalem Central Investigative Unit of the Israel Police arrested on Monday three Arab residents of the A-Tor neighborhood in east Jerusalem suspected of vandalizing Jewish gravestones on the Mount of Olives.

The police launched the investigation after dozens of headstones were discovered, smashed.

Rabbi Yehuda Glick, right-wing Temple Mount activist shot in assassination attempt in Jerusalem

Rabbi Yehuda Glick was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in critical condition after multiple shots to upper body at close range during conference at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center.

Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a prominent right-wing activist, was shot at point blank range outside the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem on Wednesday night.

Glick, 50, was shot in his upper body by a motorcyclist during an annual event organized by the Temple Mount and Eretz Yisrael Faithful Movement.

Church in east Jerusalem victim to constant Arab attacks, theft and harassment

 

Pastor of Living Bread Int’l Church reported to police that church employees are regularly beaten up or harassed, property vandalized & stolen.

A land dispute between a Christian church and Arab residents of an east Jerusalem neighborhood has devolved into chronic violence, theft, and harassment against the church’s employees, including two disabled orphans living there, its pastor said Sunday.

According to Karen Dunham, pastor and director of Living Bread International Church – a non-denominational institution with offices in Jerusalem, Gaza and Jericho – the church has been housed in Musrara, for seven years, with 20 years remaining on its lease. Continue Reading »

IDF Soldier shoots dead a Palestinian targeting Israeli vehicles near Hebron

Israel’s army says the dead roadside-terrorist was among a group of 3 throwing stones & firebombs at Israeli cars near Hebron, and has ordered an investigation into the incident.

Early on Monday morning IDF forces shot and killed a Palestinian near Hebron who was part of a group throwing firebombs and stones at passing Israeli drivers.

The incident occurred west of the village of Samu near Hebron.

Policemen injured as Arabs hurl rocks & firebombs on Temple Mount

 

Israel Police clash with Palestinian Muslims at Al-Aqsa mosque after rocks and molotov-cocktails are thrown.

2 policemen sustained light injuries, with one Palestinian woman arrested.

Muslim worshippers threw stones, firecrackers and Molotov cocktails at police forces at the flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque found within the Temple Mount compound in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday morning.

A police force that entered the holy site stopped the rioters and dispersed the crowd. Two policemen were lightly injured and one woman was arrested for disruption of public order.

The Temple Mount was consequently closed for visitors.

Palestinian infighting in south Lebanon leaves eight killed

 

Violent fighting broke out between members from the Brigades of Return, a Palestinian group linked to Fatah leaving 8 dead and at least 10 people wounded.

SIDON – At least eight people were killed in fighting on Monday between Palestinian factions in a refugee camp near Lebanon’s southern city of Sidon, Lebanese and Palestinian medical sources said.

Local sources said the clashes broke out between fighters from the Brigades of Return, a group originally linked to Palestinian Authority President Mohammad Abbas’s Fatah group, and a rival militant organization.

Hadash MK Mohammed Barakeh was found guilty Sunday of attacking a person at a left-wing protest in Tel Aviv eight years ago. According to the charges, Barakeh approached a person who was documenting the protest, elbowed him in the ribs and punched him.

Arabs Set E. Jerusalem Police Station on Fire

Jerusalem councilman Aryeh King decries endemic lawlessness rampant in capital this week.

Jerusalem Arabs set ablaze a police station next to the Lions’ Gate in the capital’s Old City on Wednesday.

Aryeh King, nationalist Jerusalem city councilman and member of the municipality’s Emergency and Security Committee, was present at the attack and managed to document it. According to King, police officers fled the scene.

“Unfortunately the prime minister is instructing the authorities to avoid eastern Jerusalem, and these are the results,” charged King.

“Last night the funeral of a terrorist was held there, they marched from the Mount of Olives towards the Lions’ Gate attacking everything in their path and didn’t let Jews pass,” reported King. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Authority violent infighting sees assassination attempts as minister targeted in shooting or gangster behavior when lawmaker  physically assaulted fellow Fatah official.

A Palestinian Authority minister came under attack on Wednesday, the Bethlehem-based Maan news reports.

Minister of Islamic Endowments Mahmoud Habbash was targeted by unknown gunmen shortly after arriving at his office in Al-Bireh, near Ramallah. The masked men opened fire in the direction of the office.

Al-Bireh’s guards returned fire, and the shooters fled the scene. No casualties were reported.
