US Tells Paris: Israel Behind Elysee Palace Hacking

Leaked document by Edward Snowden: France believed U.S. was behind a cyber attack on the Elysee Palace but White House pointed finger at Mossad.

France believed the United States attempted to hack into its president’s communications network but the U.S. hinted that Israel was behind the attack, AFP reported on Friday, based on a leaked U.S. intelligence document.

According to the report, U.S. agents denied having anything to do with the May 2012 cyber attack on the Elysee Palace, the official residence of French presidents, and appeared to hint at the possible involvement of the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency. Continue Reading »

Arab hurl handmade grenade at Israeli school bus in West Bank

IDF reports no injuries or damage in terror incident just West of Jenin in West Bank.

A supposed makeshift grenade was thrown at an Israeli bus transporting students to schools on Friday morning in the northern West Bank near the village of Yaabud, west of Jenin.

No injuries or damage were reported.

Security forces were sweeping the area.

The IDF could not confirm the identity of the perpetrator.

Iran may be 1 month from nuclear bomb

According to the assessment, Iran’s weapons-grade uranium production capabilities are developed to a degree that its ‘breakout time’ – the time needed to convert enough uranium to weapon-grade so as to build a bomb – stands at between one and 1.6 months – and is shortening further. The South-Eastern African state of Tanzania now has its first pediatric heart surgeon, after Dr Godwin Godfrey returned home following five years of training in Israel.

The Israel based humanitarian project Save a Child’s Heart (SACH), organized Dr Godwin’s training in a landmark achievement that also saw it train a complete surgical team from a foreign state for the first time.

Since being established in 1995, SACH has trained doctors and nurses from all over the world and brought over 3,000 children to Israel from countries in Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, and throughout the Middle East, including the Palestinian Authority (PA), for life saving surgery at Holon’s Wolfson Medical Center. Habayit Hayehudi announced Thursday that on Sunday the party intends to raise to vote a bill prohibiting the release of terrorists, shortly before the scheduled second release of terrorists, as agreed under the renewed talks.

“Releasing terrorists in return to Tzipi Livni‘s right to meet with (Saeb) Erekat is very severe,” a Habayit Hayehudi official said about the peace talks, which are at an impasse.

Economics Minister Naftali Bennett, Chairman of the Bayit Yehudi faction, expressed satisfaction Thursday with the planned appointment of Col. Rassan Alian to head the Golani Brigade. Alian will be the first Druze to command the brigade.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said Thursday that a “civil war” has erupted in Lebanon between Hezbollah and Global Jihad elements that have attempted to drag Israel into the conflict.

An Iranian national carrying a forged Israeli passport was arrested on April 13 by security personnel from the Israeli embassy in the Nepalese capital Katmandu, Channel 2 News reported on Monday.
