Ted Nugent accused of promoting anti-Semitic gun control post on Facebook

 

On his Facebook page, famed American rocker Ted Nugent posted photo that blames Jews for advocating gun control legislation.

Right-wing rocker Ted Nugent came under fire from Jewish groups for an anti-Semitic Facebook post blaming prominent Jews for pushing gun control.

On Monday, Nugent shared a graphic featuring images of 12 Jewish leaders — including former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer — branded with Israeli-flag images, below the words: “So who is really behind gun control?”

Alongside the graphic, which has previously appeared on anti-Semitic websites, Nugent wrote:

Turkey seeks to mend regional fences: First Israel, now courts Egypt

 

After the crisis of Turkey’s downing of a Russian aircraft in November, Erdoğan’s latest conciliatory moves to reflect its regional importance is to improve its standings with Netanyahu and al-Sisi.

Turkey is looking to upgrade diplomatic ties with Egypt, after relations became strained when President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ousted president Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013, Turkish media reported on Sunday.

Palestinian poll: Over 60% won’t support current leaders

 

POLL: 42% of Palestinians support a 3rd intifada, Abbas would win a mere 36% of the Palestinian vote compared to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who would get a measly 22%.

Less than half of the Palestinians support a third intifada, a recent poll has shown, compared to 63 percent who supported the violence at the beginning of the current escalation.

According to the survey, conducted last week in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, only 42 percent of Palestinians support a third intifada, a sharp drop from the 63 percent who supported it in November.

Seeking a “safe working environment” the Committee of the Red Cross temporarily shuts down its Gaza office after angry Palestinian activists attempted a forceful break in.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Sunday temporarily shut down its office in Gaza City after Palestinian activists attempted to break into the office, the Ma’an news agency reported.

ICRC spokeswoman Suheir Zaqqut told Ma’an that the office was shut down after “solidarity activists” who demonstrated outside the office in support of hunger striking Palestinian prisoner Mohammed al-Qiq “attempted to break into the office.”

100 days after agreement Israel & Jordan at impasse over Temple Mount cameras

The deadlock on the installation of the cameras, which were originally intended to be fitted within days after the agreement, has led Israeli officials & Western diplomats to believe that violence could flare up on the Temple Mount  during the upcoming (Passover) Jewish holidays.

Palestinian terrorist throwing a firebomb at soldiers shot dead by IDF

 

IDF soldiers on patrol protecting Jewish travelers from ambush get attacked by Palestinian terrorists throwing a Molotov Cocktail, leaving one arrested and one shot dead.

A Palestinian armed with a Molotov Cocktail was shot by the army, and a second was taken into custody in Halhul near Route 60 on Friday, the IDF said.

Palestinian media said the man died of gunshot wounds.

Furious EU demands Israel halt demolishing illegal Arab structures

 

On Saturday the EU reiterated its opposition to Israel’s building of Jewish homes in Judea & Samaria and called on Israel to immediately stop its demolition of illegal Palestinian structures, many funded by the EU in violation of local and int’l laws.

Israel’s Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz affirmed that security cooperation between Egypt and Israel is “better than ever” and “flooding is a good solution.”

Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz said Saturday that Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ordered the flooding of several Hamas tunnels linking Egypt to the Gaza Strip, to a certain extent, “due to Israel’s request.”

REPORT: Israel Allowing Turkey Plan $5 Billion Gaza Seaport

 


According to a Turkish daily on Friday, plans to reconstruct  Hamas’ seaport began with a Turkish group meeting with Palestinian Authority & Hamas officials, as well as Israeli officials.

With little rainfall to replenish the Sea of Galilee, Israel declares drought

 

For 3rd straight year Israel lacks adequate rainfall during winter months for agriculture, signaling a water crisis during the parched summer months.

The Israel Water Authority (IWA) has determined that Israel is suffering from yet another year of drought, the third in a row, after the Sea of Galilee (known locally as the Kinneret) rose by only a fraction of its typical winter increase.

The IWA reported that this winter has been one of the worst on record in terms of rainfall. As a result, the Kinneret has risen a mere 22 centimeters (8.66 inches) this winter. Continue Reading »

Israel customs officials discover EU diplomat’s car with smuggled gold bars and steroids

A European Union diplomat was caught attempting to smuggled bricks of pure gold, jewelry, hundreds of smartphones, and dozens of kilograms of steroids into Israel on Thursday at Allenby Crossing.
