UN Committee Against Torture sites Israel with ‘excessive force’ 

 

The Committee Against Torture has no investigative or fact-finding powers, only relies on information from the media, advocacy groups, the UN, and other sources in drawing conclusions to condemn & delegitimatize Israel.

A U.N. panel against torture on Friday expressed concerns about allegations of “excessive use of force,” including deadly force, by Israeli security forces in the Palestinian Territories, and warned about authorities barring access to detained suspects, including minors.

The Committee Against Torture, which works under the office of the UN human rights chief, released its “concluding observations” about Israel and five other countries — France, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the Philippines — as part of regular reviews by the panel. Continue Reading »

Hamas sneaks ISIS terrorists into Gaza via tunnels for military training, medical attention for cash & weapons

REPORT: Israeli general tells Saudi media that an ISIS operative, who snuck into Gaza from the Sinai by using a Hamas smuggling tunnel, is due to undergo military training in Gaza.

Reebok ‘distanced itself from the shoe’ an Israeli designer, who’s a gym owner, sought to auction the one pair for charity.
• Reebok, collapsing under the outraged, also found an international demand for Israel’s 68th Independence Day themed sneaker.

Pro-Palestinian websites were angry to discover that Reebok had released a sneaker commemorating Israel’s 68th Independence Day and delighted to report that the company had cancelled its decision. Jerusalem rejects French ‘peace’ initiative ahead of FM visit to Israel

A top Israeli official on Friday reiterated the country’s opposition to a French attempt to resurrect the peace process with the Palestinian Authority (PA), ahead of a visit by France’s foreign minister on Sunday.

UPDATED: Israel jets eliminated Hezbollah general, murderer of former Lebanese PM

 

Arab media reports that Mustafa Badr al-Din, Hezbollah’s top military commander and leading suspect in the assassination of former Lebanese PM Rafik Hariri, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Damascus.

Arab media reported overnight Thursday that Mustafa Badr al-Din, Hezbollah’s military commander, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a Hezbollah facility in Damascus.

The IDF has not responded to the reports, which were published in Al Mayadeen, Al-Arabiya, the Iranian Al-Alam and the Lebanese Daily Star.

Badr al-Din is considered the successor of senior Hezbollah terrorist Imad Mughniyeh, who was assassinated in 2008, also allegedly by Israel.
