Israel may become major medical marijuana exporter generating $250m in taxes

 

Israel is widely regarded as one of the world leaders in medical cannabis research, with about 50 medical cannabis companies, from the agriculture sector with its development of strains that treat a variety of illnesses & disorders to delivery devices, such as inhalers.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation gave an initial nod on Sunday for the export of medical cannabis in what could be a windfall for companies in Israel, widely regarded as a leader in research in the field.

Top Hamas explosive ‘expert’ killed in Gaza ‘work accident’

 

One of Hamas’ senior terrorists, an explosive expert according to Israel TV2news, was killed Saturday night in an explosion in the Gaza Strip.

Members of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas terror organization, reported Sunday that a senior organization leader was killed in an explosion in the Gaza Strip Saturday night.

The Hamas leader reportedly lost multiple limbs in the explosion, and eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Earlier on Sunday it was reported that Hamas had rejected an Israeli offer to exchange one of two Israeli prisoners now being held in Gaza – Avraham Mengistu and Hisham Al-Sayid – in return for the release of a Hamas terrorist and brother of a senior Hamas leader being held in an Israeli prison. NFL delegation to visit Israel next week for Israel Football League match

 

The delegation of 11 invited NFL football players will be touring around Israel later this month, but on February 18, will hold an open to the public, exhibition game with the Israel Football League.

Report: Obama gave Iran green light to develop missiles that can reach Israel

 

Middle East Media Research Institute REPORT: As part of the P5+1 nuclear deal in 2015, Obama’s administration gave Iran its unwritten consent to develop tactical ballistic missiles with the only restriction, that their missiles would not reach Europe.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration had given Iran its tacit consent for the development of ballistic missiles capable of striking Israel but not Europe, a new report by the Middle East Media Research Institute alleged Thursday.

U.N. Resolution 2231, passed shortly after the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal was signed, calls on Iran “not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology” for eight years following the nuclear deal. Thousands of Israelis attend Tel Aviv rally for cannabis legalization

 

Thousands of Israeli demonstrators, including public figures, Knesset members and artists, rallied together in Tel Aviv to demand the government to fully legalize cannabis use.

Last week, Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan said that after reviewing the matter, he will seek government approval for the decriminalization of cannabis.

According to the new policy, first time offenders will be fined by an amount which has yet to be determined and will not receive a criminal record. Second time offenders will be fined twice that amount and will also not receive a criminal record. Third time offenders will only receive a criminal record if the police deem it necessary (in accordance with the new conditional agreement), and if so will also have their driver’s and firearms licenses revoked. PLO chief Erekat ‘Shocked’ at Trump’s inaction on Israeli construction

Low-cost Irish airline Ryanair officially released their new flight schedule for the current winter season on Wednesday, with 19 regular routes to Israel. Seven new routes will service Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport, and eight new destinations will join the four existing routes servicing Eilat’s Ovda Airport, which fly to Bratislava, Budapest, Krakow and Kaunas.

Freedom House annual report: Israel only ‘Free State’ in Mid-East

 

While still no comparison with its Muslim neighbors, Israel does rank lower than most other countries in the free world, by the criteria of this survey.

WASHINGTON – Civil liberties and political freedoms are under threat worldwide and have been rolled back in the world’s founding democracies, Freedom House declared on Wednesday in its annual report.

Israel remains the only free country in the Middle East, scoring 80 on a scale of 100. That compares favorably with partly free countries in the region such as Turkey (38), Jordan (37) and Kuwait (36), and with countries deemed “not free” by the nonprofit: Iraq (27), Iran (17), Saudi Arabia (10) and Syria (-1), among all other Mideast nations. REPORT: In addition to test-fired ballistic missile, Iran tested nuclear-capable cruise missile

 

The White House’s warning to Iran on its unsanctioned missile-testing came prior to the German newspaper’s report, that in addition to the test-firing of a medium-range ballistic missile, the Islamic republic also tested a cruise missile, capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

 

BERLIN – Iran tested a cruise missile called “Sumar” that is capable of carrying nuclear weapons in addition to test-firing a medium-range ballistic missile on Sunday, German newspaper Die Welt reported Thursday, citing unspecified intelligence sources.

No comment was immediately available from Germany’s BND foreign intelligence agency or from Iranian authorities.

UK PM Theresa May censures Muslim states for prohibiting entry by Israelis

 

WATCH: During a session in the House of Commons Wednesday, the British PM denounced the ‘discriminatory’ prohibition against the entry of Jewish Israelis by 16 Muslim countries, that has been ongoing for decades.

King of Morocco hints to global terrorism should US embassy move to Jerusalem

 

Sky News Arabic reported on Tuesday, that Morocco’s King Mohammed VI warned the U.S. that moving their embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would have “grave repercussions on security & peace” in the region and “the entire world.”

Relocating the embassy “would undermine efforts for the just settlement of the Palestinian issue, as well as result in disastrous repercussions on security and peace in the Middle East region and the entire world,” the King’s message said, according to the report.
