CAROLINE B. GLICK: The trap that Arik built

By leaving Gaza, Israel was saying – as it had in Lebanon – that it had no right to be there. And if it had no right to be there, it had no right to return.

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

The cease-fire agreement that Israel accepted Wednesday night to end the current round of Palestinian rocket and missile attacks is not a good deal for Israel by any stretch of the imagination.

At best, Israel and Hamas are placed on the same moral plane. The cease-fire erases the distinction between Israel, a peace-seeking liberal democracy that wants simply to defend its citizens, and Hamas, a genocidal jihadist terrorist outfit that seeks the eradication of the Jewish people and the destruction of Israel. Caroline B. Glick: A time for courage & action!

Obama’s victory demonstrates that the American spirit has been overwhelmed by the European model of social democracy at home and appeasement & treachery abroad. After all, a US ambassador and 3 others were murdered. But 4 is not a very large number. And it was over in a day.

By Caroline B. Glick

Mitt Romney wasn’t a bad candidate. He ran a fairly strong race. He made a few errors. And he made many good moves. Certainly he was adequate. And he was probably the strongest Republican candidate among the primary field of contenders. That is, he was the best man available to run against Barack Obama. Continue Reading »

CAROLINE B. GLICK: The Brotherhood’s useful idiots

You have to hand it to the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. They know how to play power politics.

You have to hand it to the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. They know how to play power politics. They know how to acquire power. And they know how to use power.

Last Friday, the day before voters by most accounts elected the Brotherhood’s candidate Mohamed Morsy to serve as Egypt’s next president, The Wall Street Journal published a riveting account by Charles Levinson and Matt Bradley of how the Brotherhood outmaneuvered the secular revolutionaries to take control of the country’s political space. CAROLINE B. GLICK’S Column One: The reign of the fantasists

The Obama administration insists on clinging to the fantasy that it can convince the Iranians to give up their nuclear weapons program.

Defense  Minister Ehud Barak has done it again. Speaking on Wednesday at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv, Barak warned that if Israel can’t cut a deal with the Palestinians soon, it should consider surrendering Judea and Samaria in exchange for nothing.

Even the diehard leftists in the media had a hard time swallowing his words. After all, when Barak was premier, he oversaw Israel’s unilateral surrender of south Lebanon in 2000. Continue Reading »

Analysis: Caroline Glick outlines why Israel now needs to pass on U.S. aid

The current US military aid package is really a deal for Lockheed Martin, not for Israel, and we need to say ‘no’ since it’s structured to dangerously diminish Israel’s strategic independence.

Column one: Time to walk away from US aid

On Monday, acting head of the National Security Council Yaakov Nagel will sit down with his US counterpart, Susan Rice, and try to conclude negotiations about a new, multi-year defense assistance package.

Caroline’s Bye-bye to London

Israel shouldn’t bother to try to win over Europe because the Europeans have multiple reasons for always being anti-Israel and none of them have anything to do with anything that Israel does.

By Caroline Glick

I live in a mildly anti-Semitic country, and Europe is mildly anti-Semitic, and they hold Israel to a higher moral standard than its neighbors. If you bring up Israel in a public meeting in England, the whole atmosphere changes. The standard left-wing person never feels more comfortable than when attacking Israel.

Caroline Glick: Obama and his politics of contempt

Obama’s contemptuous vilification of Israel & successful American Jews make him bad for Jews specifically. Just as the Dunham ad exposes his underlying hostility towards women & so makes clear that women’s interests are imperiled by his presidency, so Obama’s repeated hostile treatment of Israel & American Jews make him a specific danger to Jewish interests.

By Caroline B. Glick

“Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy.”

So begins the now famous official Barack Obama for President campaign ad that was released last week. The ad depicts a young woman named Lena Dunham, who is apparently a celebrity among Americans in their teens and twenties

Biden abandons Abraham Accords, Israel, Middle East peace for Iran

Joe Biden’s White House contains the most ideologically rigid and radical administration in US history, as demonstrated by a tidal-wave of actions that have served to undermine the recent historical Mid-East achievements between Israel and many Muslim States.

By Caroline B. Glick –  Biden abandons Middle East peace

The Trump administration was on the verge of securing a peace agreement between Israel and Indonesia in its final weeks in office, according to a former senior Trump administration official involved in the efforts. The official divulged that the negotiations between Israel and the world’s most populous Muslim state were run by then-President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner and Adam Boehler, then-head of the US’s International Development Finance Corporation

Israel was represented by then-Ambassador Ron Dermer and Indonesia by Minister Mohamed Lutfi. Continue Reading »

Claiming the Kurds were betrayed by the U.S. is hyperbole

Although the US did engage ISIS with the Kurds as partners against a common enemy, there was never any commitment to the Kurds since the US was neither a major influence in Syria or had an interest in confronting NATO ally, Turkey, to protect the Kurds during their 100 year conflict; Trump consistently promised he would extract American soldiers from the never ending mid-east conflict.

By Caroline B. Glick – Trump Did Not Betray the Kurds

The near-consensus view of US President Donald Trump’s decision to remove American special forces from the Syrian border with Turkey is that Trump is enabling a Turkish invasion and double-crossing the Syrian Kurds who have fought with the Americans for five years against the Islamic State group. John Bolton’s departure won’t disturb the Trump-Netanyahu connection

Analysis: John Bolton’s sudden departure is a loss for Israel because he truly is a great friend of the Jewish State, but Trump’s administration was pro-Israel when the Ambassador arrived and PM Netanyahu’s timely annexation announcement signaled the pro-Israel posture of this President will remain intact even with Bolton’s absence.

By Caroline B. Glick

John Bolton’s departure from the White House has been the source of considerable concern in Israel. For decades, the veteran diplomat and former UN ambassador has been among the most powerful supporters of a strong US-Israel alliance in Washington.

During his tenure as President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Bolton worked steadily on expanding US-Israel strategic ties across a wide spectrum of critical issues from Iran, to the Palestinians and beyond. Continue Reading »

The end of an era: Trump White House ends, ‘The Palestinian Exception’

The ‘Palestinian Exception’, practiced by the previous three US Presidents,  involved allowing the PLO, PA and their supporters a ‘free-pass’ for behavior that would have otherwise been acknowledged as illegal, but ignored simply because the perpetrators were Palestinians or activists in their stead.

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

When Rosh Hashanah ended on Tuesday evening, Jews discovered that over the holiday, the Trump administration had enacted two policies – one foreign and one domestic – that on their face, don’t appear to be connected. But actually, they stem from the same rationale. And both together and separately, these two policies give Jews much to be thankful for. Continue Reading »

REVEALED: How Obama’s administration covertly supported Hamas against Israel

Had PM Netanyahu informed the public of the betrayals & the knowledge that the US was covertly backing Hamas, it would have caused more embargoes, abandonment of Israel at the UN and other int’l forums and even more funding to Hamas, so Netanyahu had to fight the diplomatic fight of his life secretly.

REVEALED: The Obama administration’s support for Hamas was not passive

Israel’s State Comptroller’s Report on Operation Protective Edge, the Jewish state’s war with Hamas in the summer of 2014, is exceedingly detailed. The problem is that it addresses the wrong details. Continue Reading »

Analysis of Israeli media’s unbalanced reporting of Israel’s PM Netanyahu

Night after night in Israel, Channel 2 viewers have been subjected to saturation coverage of ‘Affair 2000’ that distorts more than it reveals and Israeli readers are bombarded with what seems daily negative articles related to Netanyahu and his family that run in the Hebrew daily, Yediot Aharonot.

Netanyahu’s Shameless Opponents By Caroline B. Glick

Over the past week, Israel was subjected to the diplomatic equivalent of a lynch mob in Paris. It received unexpected assistance from Britain, which twice in two days departed from its traditional anti-Israel stance and blocked the Paris conference’s anti-Israel declaration from being adopted as the official position of the European Union. Obama’s legacy: Predicated on unabashed anti-Jewish discrimination

Obama’s regular discriminatory attacks on Israel has manifested into a policy toward Israel that’s based neither on US interests nor on American values.

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

Why did the Obama administration decide to escalate its attacks against Israel last week? What was the purpose of the State Department’s shockingly hostile assault last Wednesday following the Israel Land’s Authority’s announcement that it is publishing tenders to build 323 apartment units in Jerusalem’s Gilo, Har Homa, Pisgat Zeev and Neveh Ya’acov neighborhoods? The statement needs to be seen to be believed.

US President Barack Obama waves as he arrives at the Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

Netanyahu outfoxes the media: The world now knows Jerusalem’s Mufti was Nazi war criminal

In correcting Netanyahu’s ‘history lesson’, what has been made clear is the 1st ‘Palestinian’ leader, Jerusalem’s Mufti, Haj Amin al-Husseini, started the lies  [still being used today] as an excuse to murder Jews with impunity, and as a Nazi war criminal, the many similarities seen in Palestinian culture now make sense.

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is crazy like a fox.

Netanyahu’s assertion on Tuesday before the World Zionist Congress that the founder of the Palestinian people, Haj Amin al-Husseini, convinced Adolf Hitler to eradicate rather than expel the Jews of Europe was an overstatement of Husseini’s role. Continue Reading »
