IDF Places Northern Border Communities on Alert After Suspicious Movement in Lebanon

White House Yells ‘Foul’ Over Netanyahu’s Invitation to Address Congress

The White House gave an icy response to news that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was invited to address Congress next month, saying it was a departure from diplomatic protocol, according to AFP.

“We haven’t heard from the Israelis directly about the trip at all,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said. “The typical protocol would suggest that the leader of a country would contact the leader of another country when he is traveling there… So this particular event seems to be a departure from that protocol.”

Tel Aviv resident arrested for hacking Madonna’s computer in FBI-Israel Police operation

The Israeli suspect, found in a joint int’l FBI-Lahav 433 investigation, is being charged with computer trespassing, fraud, theft, and intellectual property offenses.

A suspected Israeli hacker was arrested Wednesday on charges of hacking into the computers of Madonna and a number of other well-known artists in order to steal and distribute unreleased songs, Israel Police reported Wednesday.

The months-long international investigation, conducted between the FBI and Lahav 433, the police’s special investigation unit, led investigators to a 39-year-old Tel Aviv resident.

Average Palestinians and those in positions of power again demonstrated their commitment to and desire for peace with Israel by praising and celebrating a brutal terrorist attack in Tel Aviv on Wednesday morning, when a 22-year-old Arab man boarded a public bus and stabbed 17 Jews.

The cartoon to the left was published just hours after the attack, and was enthusiastically shared by Palestinians on social media and displayed by local Arab news agencies.

Hamas condoned on Wednesday a stabbing attack on a Tel Aviv bus which left nine people injured, calling it an act of heroism.

A 23-year-old man from the West Bank city of Tulkarm, illegally residing in Israel, stabbed nine Israelis on the 40 bus line near Maariv junction. Two of the victims were seriously wounded and several others suffered moderate injuries.

A terrorist stabbing attack took place Wednesday morning on a bus in central Tel Aviv, on Begin Road, near Beit Maariv. The terrorist in an Arab man, reportedly from Judea and Samaria.

A video taken a few minutes after the attack shows wounded civilians receiving first aid from emergency teams.

A video uploaded to Facebook by Jerusalem Councillor Arieh King shows the terrorist after his arrest.

Up to 17 people were reported wounded in the stabbing.

China’s Alibaba Concludes Major Investment Deal With Israeli Start-up

Chinese e-mega-giant Alibaba invests into Israeli high-tech start-up, in latest economic collaboration with Asia.

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has made its first investment in an Israeli company by funding start-up Visualead, a provider of QR code technology, the companies said in a statement Tuesday.

QR, or quick response, codes are a type of barcode.

Alibaba and Visualead have also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement, the statement said, but gave no figure for the investment.

The deal will allow Alibaba to use Visualead’s technology across its platforms, it said. Visualead will use the funding to develop its next
generation of technology enabling offline to online business.
