Like Gaza & Iran, the Egyptian Islamists abused their power

Analysis: Israeli media expert reports on how Western-style democracy does not always work in an Arab Muslim state.

By Uri Dromi

Once again, the American administration finds itself in the situation where it doesn’t really know exactly how to deal with an enigmatic Middle East. This time, it’s Egypt that is teaching Americans how complex this turbulent region is.

Islamists in Egypt abused their power – Israel Today

From the standpoint of Washington, something good must have happened in Egypt in the last two years. After decades of dictatorship, it seemed that democracy had eventually prevailed. The many Egyptians who took to Tahrir Square in January 2011 chanting, “Enough is enough,” finally got , in the eternal words of President Lincoln, “a government of the people, by the people, for the people.” Continue Reading »

The Arab world sees the ‘Safavid’ seeking regional domination

A nuclear weapon in the hands of a status-quo state with a defensive orientation, is a very different story, than nuclear weapons in the hands of a state that wants to totally change the international status quo.

By Dore Gold

In an interview on Al-Jazeera this past May, the commander of the Free Syrian Army, Brig. Gen. Salim Idris, explained that the diversion of Hezbollah forces from Lebanon to Syria to take part in the civil war was part of a “Safavid” plan for the Middle East region.

Jordan’s King, Iran & Assad

Egypt is in turmoil as the non-Islamists & secularists refuse to accept the fact that the Islamic Brotherhood hijacked their revolution.

When the revolution was still raging in Egypt, I wrote an article calling on the world to support Egypt’s secularists. It was they and the leftists that ignited and sustained the revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak; the Islamists waited until Mubarak was about to fall, and then joined.

Kocaman reports: Suicide Bombers Are Spreading False Islam

The problem is this : People who do not know their own religion are being diverted toward nonsense. And unless they learn their own religion and the true love in the Koran, there will continue to be suicide bombers and those who honor them.

By Aylin Kocaman

In October, the Palestine Committee of the Arab Lawyers Union honored a suicide bomber. A law student who entered a restaurant in Israel in 2003 and blew herself up, killing herself and 21 people, was honored by the lawyers’ union. The 21 people she killed included a pregnant woman and three children.

This honor is thought-provoking.
