Israel revokes citizenship of Palestinian terrorist who planned large-scale attack

 

Israel’s Interior Minister ordered citizenship immediately revoked to a Palestinian who planned a massive terror-attack on an event hall, planned the kidnapping of an IDF soldier, and worked with Gazans that were in Israel illegally.

Interior Minister Aryeh Deri ordered on Thursday evening that the citizenship of terrorist Hani Abu Omra be revoked. Abu Omra lives in Tel Sheva. He and his terror cell planned to carry out a large-scale terror attack on an event hall in southern Israel.

Two people were killed and six others injured after a terrorist opened fire Sunday morning opposite the police station in northern Jerusalem, according to reports by MDA and police.

The attack took place at two different locations. A white car stopped and opened fire at the Ammunition Hill light rail station, located at the Central Police Headquarters intersection, injuring those standing at the station. A bomb scare near the Jerusalem light rail shut down much of central Jerusalem Sunday morning.

An Arab passenger boarding the light rail near the intersection of Yafo and King George aroused the suspicions of the train’s security guards, who questioned the man in an attempt to discern whether he posed a threat.

During the conversation, the man claimed he was carrying an explosive device in his bag. Security guards then detained the man, who was handed over to Jerusalem police for interrogation. Continue Reading »

Palestinian terrorist neutralized in attempted knife-attack on IDF soldiers

 

IDF soldiers neutralized a Palestinian terrorist, avoiding injury to themselves but seriously injuring the attacker after he dismounted his bike and ran towards the soldiers with his knife drawn.

On Friday night, an attacker attempted to stab IDF soldiers outside the Shomron Regional Brigade. The soldiers prevented the attack by shooting the perpetrator, and no IDF injuries were reported.

The U.S. has a “concrete plan” to deport a Jordanian-born Palestinian who put a bomb on a passenger flight in 1982, a government lawyer said Tuesday, arguing that the man should stay in custody until his deportation because he remains a terrorist threat.

After an onslaught of condemnation from across the political spectrum against the soldier who killed a wounded terrorist, a witness present at the scene of Thursday’s stabbing attack in Hevron has corroborated a key element of his defense.

The soldier, who is now under investigation, claims that he feared the terrorist was carrying a suicide bomb vest, noting that the terrorist was wearing a thick coat despite the heat, possibly to conceal an explosive device.

An Israeli soldier was suspended on Thursday after a video emerged showing him shooting an attacker who had moderately wounded a soldier in Hebron, Israeli news site Ynet reported.


The soldier is seen shooting the assailant in the head as he lay on the ground, apparently incapable of moving and possibly already dead.

After the soldier fires, blood is seen flowing from the man’s head where it was not seen before.

“From an initial investigation, it appears that this was a serious incident that is contrary to the spirit of the IDF and what we expect of IDF soldiers and commanders,” said the Israeli military, adding that military police were opening an investigation and that the soldier had been suspended until a probe was completed. Children Safe After Palestinian Terrorist Shoots At Children’s Playground
