Saudi crown prince meets Israeli officials on normalizing Israeli-Saudi ties

A London-based Arabic daily reported Wednesday that the Saudi Crown Prince discussed normalizing Israeli-Saudi ties and President Trump’s planned “deal of the century” with Israeli officials in Egypt.
• The Saudis reportedly also invited Israel to join in the unprecedented ‘mega-city venture’ in the Gulf of Aqaba.

REPORT: Couscous salad aboard Virgin Atlantic Airlines turns into social media war

According to a BBC report, a salad on the airline’s menu described as, “Inspired by the flavors of Palestine,” breaks out into an Israeli-Palestinian proxy war on Twitter.

After the airline Virgin Atlantic described a couscous-style salad on its menu as “inspired by the flavors of Palestine,” pro-Israel activists took to social media and called for a boycott of the airline, according to a report by the BBC.

The airline agreed to remove the terms, but when the news broke on February 11 it outraged pro-Palestinian activists and sparked a wave of online reactions.

REPORT: Unemployment in Israel at historic low, consumerism rising

The Taub Center reports prices in Israel are still high and in many industries the productivity is still low, but increased employment rates & higher salaries “have led to an impressive rise in consumption in recent years and to an increase in the standard of living.”

Employment and salaries have risen and unemployment rates have fallen to a historic low over the past year, according to a new report released by the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel on Tuesday.

“The increase in employment rates, together with the rise in the average wage, have led to an impressive rise in consumption in recent years and to an increase in the standard of living,” the report said. Continue Reading »

REPORT: Israel’s health system ranks in top 10 of the best, ahead of UK, US, Canada

 

The London-based institute’s comparative study, examining three basic components of health: availability of preventive care, health infrastructure, and citizens’ physical & mental health, showed Israelis enjoy top health care.

A recent study ranked Israel’s health care system as the ninth-best in the world, the UK’s Business Insider reported.

The research, conducted by the London-based Legatum Institute, compared 104 variables and listed nine subindexes. The study examined three basic components of health: availability of preventive care, health infrastructure, and citizens’ physical and mental health.

A new report published by the US State Department criticizing Israel and largely ignoring the Palestinian Authority’s financial support for terrorists sparked a bitter backlash, with some characterizing the document as “anti-Semitic”.

Website drops Israel to 15th place on list of world’s strongest militaries

 

The military analytic website Global Firepower places Israel’s IDF ahead of Iran, but behind Turkey and Egypt’s armed forces.

European governments finance civilian Palestinian organizations with clear ties terrorist groups to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a new NGO Monitor report said Monday.

Leila Khaled came to public attention for her role in a 1969 hijacking in one of four simultaneous airline hijackings by Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorists.

Financial Report: Israel ranked 3rd ‘Most Stable Economy’ for 2016

 

Bloomberg financial news agency just published its index citing near-zero inflation and a low unemployment rate as stabilizing factors in its report determining the Jewish State as the 3rd most stable economy for 2016.

Near-nonexistent inflation and a low unemployment rate of 4.8% have helped propel Israel to the No. 3 spot on a list of the world’s most stable and promising economies for 2016 published by the Bloomberg financial news agency.

REPORT: One Dead after Israel retaliates for ISIS rocket fire with UAV attack

 

Following yesterday’s Islamic State rocket fire on Southern Israel, Arab media reports of an unidentified drone strike on a home & car in Rafah, Sinai, killing one.
– IDF has had no comment on the foreign reports.

Following rocket fire directed at communities in the Eshkol Regional Council Monday morning, Arab media outlet Al Jazeera reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked a house in southern Rafah, killing one person.

Another Arab controlled UN report equates Israel to American slavery

 

The same Arab dominated UN committee whose report set off a firestorm leading to its withdrawal as libel, and the resignation of its author, UN Under-Secretary-General Rima Khalaf, means to try again in June, this time equating “the Israeli Occupation” to slavery in the United States.

The UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is expected to publish a report equating “the Israeli Occupation” to slavery in the United States and put the financial damages suffered by Palestinians as a result of “50 years of occupation” in the billions of dollars.

REPORT: Switzerland funds NGOs that promotes killing Jews and Israel’s annihilation

 

According to a Basler Zeitung report, Switzerland finances NGOs in the Palestinian territories and in Israel, that calls for the murder of Jews and works for the destruction of Israel.

A February article in the Swiss daily Basler Zeitung reported that some of the nearly $60 million its government has sent in support of Middle East projects also funds initiatives that call for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews.

OECD rates Israel’s roads as most congested in developed world

According to a report in the Kuwaiti-based Al Jarida newspaper, Kenyan security forces foiled an attack targeting Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s convoy during his visit to Kenya earlier this week.

A senior security official told the paper that Kenyan police altered the convoy’s route just before its departure from the Nairobi airport.

The change was so sudden it sparked an argument between Netanyahu’s body guards and local security forces, according to the paper.
