UN General Assembly launches ‘Int’l Year of Solidarity with Palestinian People’

 

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Ron Prosor, slams event, calls the int’l body a ‘propaganda machine.’

 

 

The United Nations launched the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (IYSPP) at an official ceremony last Thursday.

The UN hopes the initiative will enhance efforts to achieve Israeli-Palestinian peace and claims its purpose is to contribute to international awareness on the “question of Palestine” and the main obstacles to achieving a just solution, a statement issued by the UN stated.

Jerusalem exposes al-Qaida terrorist anti-American plot

Israel’s security agency revealed that the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Convention Center were among targets al-Qaida-linked group planned to attack.

Israel’s Shin Bet security agency revealed on Wednesday that it had arrested a terrorist unit that planned to blow up the Jerusalem convention center and the US embassy in Tel Aviv.

According to the Shin Bet’s statement, the three terrorists who were arrested belong to a Gaza based terror group that is linked to al-Qaida and the attacks themselves were planned by the global terror group’s leader Ayman al-Zawahri. Continue Reading »

The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) discovery Wednesday near the Haredi community of Aluma near Kiryat Gat took place in wake of the prior discovery of the ruins of the infrastructure of what is believed to be an ancient city.

A song from an Israeli singer with Yemenite roots – but who has never visited the country – has become a surprise hit in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, the Economist reported on Tuesday.

Zion Golan’s song “Sana’a al-Yemen” is frequently heard blaring from stereos and minibus speakers. “Come with me to Sanaa,” Golan sings in Yemeni Arabic. “Sanaa, my home, you’ll like it.”

Stephen Harper’s Temple Mount visit cancelled by Muslims ‘because of Jewish Bodyguards’

At the last moment the Muslim Waqf cancelled Canadian PM’s planned tour of the Temple Mount, because some in his security entourage  are Jewish.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper planned to tour the Temple Mount after visiting the Western Wall (Kotel) Tuesday, but the visit was torpedoed at the last minute by the Muslim Waqf, which said it would not allow Harper’s security detail onto the Mount, since some of the bodyguards are Jewish, leading Temple activist Yehuda Glick told Arutz Sheva in an exclusive interview. Bnei Brith Canada confirmed the story.

Israel Air Force Successful in Nighttime Surgical Elimination of Gaza Terrorist

In the successful joint IDF-Shin Bet operation, the PFLP terrorist who was centrally involved in recent rocket attacks on southern Israel was eliminated.

Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft struck in Gaza on Tuesday night and eliminated a terrorist who was involved in rocket attacks on Israel, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.

The statement identified the terrorist as Ahmed Zaaneen from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), who in the past was a member of the Islamic Jihad terror group. He was targeted in a joint IDF-Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) operation, said the statement. Continue Reading »

Now that Christians in Nazareth have taken a bolder stand for their faith & support of the Jewish State, local Muslims flex muscles by seeking to impose ‘superiority’ of their god.

UNESCO moves Land of Israel exhibit to June

 

The exhibit, “People, Book, Land: The 3,500-year relationship of the Jewish People with the Holy Land,”  was postponed in response to a protest letter from the Arab League, who fear it ‘could damage the peace process’.

 

 

 

UNESCO now eyes a June date for an exhibit on Jewish ties to the Land of Israel, after it suddenly canceled the scheduled Monday opening at its Paris headquarters, in response to a protest by Arab states who fear it could damage the peace process.

The exhibit at UNESCO headquarters in Paris just needed to be installed.

Islamic Waqf Revising Jewish History: ‘Temple Mount, and Kotel are Muslim’

Muslim religious authority supervising the Temple Mount makes new claims: King Solomon was a Muslim, and the Kotel (Western Wall) is holy to Islam.

The Islamic Waqf, which supervises the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, has issued a pamphlet that makes new claims regarding the Mount – arguing, among other things, that King Solomon was a Muslim and that there is no Jewish connection to either the Temple Mount or the Western Wall (Kotel).
