Israel Police to Finally Issue Rules on Temple Mount Prayer for Jewish Visitors

Police in Jerusalem have finally agreed to distribute a set of rules they expect Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount abide by.

Palestinians refuse to drop petition to suspend Israel from FIFA

FIFA President Sepp Blatter will travel to the Middle East to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and top Palestinian officials in a bid to head off a Palestinian bid to expel Israel from the sport’s governing body, FIFA said in a statement Sunday.

WATCH: IDF & Israeli Medical Personnel Save the Life of Syrian Terrorist

Neither the IDF nor Israeli hospital personnel checked his nationality, political affiliation or his religion…only that he isn’t booby-trapped.

Israel’s commitment to human life knows no bounds. When soldiers guarding the northern border with Syria last week were asked to permit entry to a seriously wounded Syrian man, they did not hesitate, despite the fact that the patient was a member of the Al-Nusra Front, an offshoot of Al Qaeda.

Israeli military doctors received the wounded man at the border, and after a security check to make sure he was not wired with explosives, transported the patient to Ziv Medical Center in the Galilee town of Tsefat (Safed). Continue Reading »

Austrian Protestant & Catholic churches apologize to Jews at World War II ceremony

The separate apologies were issued Friday, a day of nationwide commemorations of the end of World War II 70 years ago.

Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn said the Catholic Church “must acknowledge its share of responsibility for the creation of a climate of disdain and hatred” for Jews before the Nazi era.

Dutch Gov’t Slashes Jewish Holocaust Survivor’s Pension for Moving to “West Jordan Bank”

To escape the anti-Semitism, a Jewish Dutch Holocaust survivor moved to Israel and had her pension chopped by 35% for residing in a non-Arab town over 1949 Armistice Lines.

Holland has cut down the pension payments of a Dutch Holocaust survivor who recently immigrated to Israel, because she settled in a town in the “West Jordan Bank.”

According to a Channel 2 report on Thursday, the 90-year-old Dutch national decided to join her family in the Jewish state in the wake of increased anti-Semitism across Europe.

Danish buses set ablaze after company removes anti-Israel settlements ad

Four buses in Copenhagen were found on fire in a suspected anti-Israel arson attack Friday morning, the Copenhagen Post reported.

The attack, in which several other buses were covered in anti-Israel graffiti calling to “Free Gaza” and “boycott Israel” comes a week after a pro-Palestinian group was made to remove several advertisements on buses calling for the boycott of Israeli products.

The United States is likely to offer Saudi Arabia its advanced GBU-28 bunker buster bombs – so far only provided to Israel – as Washington seeks to beef up Saudi Arabia’s ability to lead Gulf countries in defending themselves against Iranian moves in the region.

IDF Integrates Armed Robots Into Its Ground Forces

Hundreds of years after their forefathers fled Spain, some 300 descendants of Spanish conversos live in El Salvador as a thriving community, observing Orthodox Judaism, keeping the laws of the Sabbath, and dreaming of converting and immigrating to Israel as Jews.

The community built a synagogue in the capital, San Salvador, and named it Beit Israel. Though the congregation is scattered across the city, a minyan (quorum) of worshippers gathers there three times each day for prayers, and on Friday, the eve of the Sabbath, they gather in the building that houses the synagogue and sleep in the main lobby so as to avoid desecrating the Sabbath. Israel, Greece & U.S. Hold Joint Naval Exercise in Mediterranean

The trilateral exercise, from April 27 until May 14, will include from Israel, dolphin class submarines, Sa’ar missile ships and a naval helicopter.

The exercise, the largest of its kind, dubbed Noble Dina, involved air-sea maneuvers and the use of a variety of naval vessels. It began on April 27 and will reach its conclusion on May 14, the IDF Spokesman’s Office said.

Intel Expert: Oil Industry Has Technology to Deal With Israel’s Tunnel Problem

IDF’s technology department creator says Israel’s land borders are vulnerable to terror-tunnel attacks, but the oil industry may have solutions.

Yossi Langosky, the IDF officer who established the technology department of the army’s Intelligence Unit, said Wednesday that all of Israel’s land borders – north, south, and east – were vulnerable to “tunnel attacks” by terrorists, similar to the ones conducted by Hamas before and during Operation Protective Edge last summer, according to NRG. The IDF can develop solutions to defend the country against such attacks – but it is going to take a revision of policy and outlook.
