Syria attributes ordinance explosions at military airbase to missile from Israel

 

Syria accuses Israel of firing rockets early Friday morning, hitting a major military airport that triggered a fire and the subsequent explosions of munitions.

Syria on Friday accused Israel of firing rockets that hit near a major military airport west of Damascus, triggering a fire, and warned Tel Aviv of repercussions without specifying whether it would retaliate for the attack, the third such incident recently according to the Syrian government. In a statement carried on the official news agency SANA, the military said several missiles were launched just after midnight from an area near Lake Tiberias that fell in the vicinity of the Mezzeh military airport on the western edge of the capital. Hamas police fire live rounds to scatter thousands protesting electricity blackouts

 

An AFP photographer in Jabalya said that Hamas police fired live rounds and used batons to strike protesters & journalists (himself included) demonstrating against massive power cuts from the Hamas-run electricity company.

Hamas police on Thursday fired live rounds into the air to disperse a mass demonstration against the electricity crisis in the coastal enclave.

Thousands took to the streets in the Jabalya refugee camp to protest power outages that have occurred repeatedly in recent weeks, and marched towards the headquarters of Hamas-run electricity company in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Members threaten ‘Jewish’ Country Club with lawsuit to keep Obama out

 

Members of the Woodmont Country Club are threatening litigation & lawsuits against the mostly Jewish golf club if it waives its bylaws to accommodate Obama membership in light of the U.S.’s anti-Israel vote at the UN.

An upscale country club is debating whether to grant outgoing President of the United States Barack Obama membership due to his contentious relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, The New York Post, citing a confidential source reported Wednesday.

A number of members of the mostly Jewish Woodmont Country Club in Maryland are demanding that Obama be rejected from joining, according to The Post, citing his decision not to veto an anti-settlement resolution in the UN Security Council late last year

On December 23, UNSC resolution 2334 was adopted after the US abstained from vetoing the decision, which condemned settlement construction in east Jerusalem and the West Bank, outraging officials in Jerusalem.

Rex Tillerson, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, on Wednesday stressed the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship, and condemned the outgoing Obama administration’s decision not to veto UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which criticized Israeli construction in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

Descended from Muslim pilgrims from a variety of African countries, they now consider themselves Palestinians, despite widespread poverty and occasional discrimination. Several have even participated in terror attacks against Israel.

Hamas hacks IDF cell phones by suckering soldiers with phony accounts

 

After posing as beautiful young women, Hamas operatives successfully hacked IDF soldiers’ cell phones to acquire intelligence by photographing and listening in on IDF forces near the Gaza border.

As part of the Hamas’ internet espionage activities, the terrorist organization’s cyber collections unit managed to hack dozens of cell phones belonging to IDF combat soldiers in an attempt to gather intelligence for military operations and preparations on the Gaza border.

Investigations by the Shin Bet and the IDF’s Information Security Department and Cyber Defense Unit discovered that dozens of cell phones belonging to soldiers and officers in both active and reserve duty had been hacked by Hamas.

Staunch liberal advocate Meryl Streep conspicuously identified foreign born actors by city and country in her unsolicited political acceptance speech, but when it came to Natalie Portman, she neglected to say, ‘Israel’.

Arab Report: Qatar began mediating prisoner exchange between Hamas, Israel

 

Arab-Israeli newspaper reports Hamas made their engagement in negotiations conditional upon the re-release of 60 Palestinians prisoners who were first released as part of the ‘Shalit deal’ but later arrested once again. Israel agreed, but insists they be relocated to Qatar or Gaza, a condition Hamas outright rejected.

French doctors, accompanied with journalists, tour Israel’s emergency underground hospital at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center to learn about emergency protocols enacted when dealing with mass casualties.

A delegation of French doctors arrived in Israel to learn about emergency protocols for hospitals in situations of mass casualties and terrorist attacks, French media reported.

The doctors and the accompanying press team visited the ninth floor underground at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, where there is a sheltered emergency room. The Israeli medical staff explained to their French counterparts that all 800 patients in the hospital, along with the medical equipment, can be relocated to the underground sheltered floors in less than an hour. Ancient Roman theater discovered overlooking the Sea of Galilee, in northern Israel

 

The gate, which is nearly excavated, likely bore the bronze mask of Pan that was found in one of the gate towers, leading archeologists to believe the theater hosted rituals honoring one of the gods of the Greco-Roman pantheon.

Knife-wielding Palestinian terrorist neutralized attacking IDF force Monday night

 

While attacking a group of IDF soldiers conducting arrest operations in the Far’a refugee camp Monday night, IDF forces opened fire, killing the 33 yr-old Palestinian terrorist who ignored calls to stop.

IDF forces shot and killed a knife-wielding terrorist overnight Monday after he attacked a group of soldiers in the Far’a refugee camp in the West Bank.

The terrorist, 33-year-old Mohammad Al-Salahi, shouted “Allahu Akbar” and did not heed calls to stop.
