Israeli DM Moshe Ya’alon takes off Monday night for an official visit to India – the 1st time Israel’s Defense Minister to made the journey.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon (Likud) will take off Monday night for New Delhi as part of an official visit to India.

His visit will mark the first time an Israeli defense minister has traveled to the Asian nation.

During his visit, Ya’alon will attend the inauguration of a defense industries of Israel pavilion during an arms fair held in the city of Bangalore, the capital of southern Indian state Karnataka.

5 French teens detained for vandalizing three hundred Jewish graves

Five adolescents aged 15 to 17 have been detained for questioning in eastern France over the vandalism of Jewish graves, a local prosecutor said on Monday.

All five are from the region of Sarre-Union in Alsace, where around 300 tombs were defaced and damaged on Thursday.

Martin Indyk: US part of int’l community to force UN Security Council Resolution on Israel

 

 

Former envoy to peace talks Martin Indyk, suggests the US would be facilitator of a pro-Palestinian resolution that would “lay out & preserve the principles of a 2-state solution in the future.”

 

If a government emerges after the election that does not launch a diplomatic initiative or opposes a Palestinian state, Israel will likely face a UN Security Council resolution proposed by all permanent members designed to “lay out the principles of a two state solution,” Martin Indyk said Monday.

Israeli Defense Minister and IDF generals seek to bypass Israeli-Palestinian Water committees to advance the new Palestinian town as livable, but PA intransigence might prevent it.

The city of Rawabi (pictured below) is a flagship Palestinian project. It is a modern, planned town of 40,000 homes aimed at moving Palestinian society forward.

But while the first apartments are ready to be occupied, they remain empty. Israel’s Water Authority has thus far refused to connect Rawabi to the Israeli water network.

Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon isn’t pleased by the situation, and has been working on behalf of getting Rawabi connected to the water system and operating as a symbol of what Palestinian society can become if it focuses on advancement rather than conflict with Israel. Continue Reading »

Hundreds of Jewish gravestones vandalized as French antisemitism persists

News of the desecrated tombstones come a day after a deadly terror shooting at a Denmark synagogue, which resembled the terrorist attack at a Jewish supermarket in Paris last month.

 

PARIS – Several hundred Jewish tombs have been damaged in a cemetery near the northeastern French city of Strasbourg, the French interior minister said on Sunday.
