Palestinian Throwing Rocks on Passing Israeli Cars Shot Dead by IDF

IDF Spokesperson’s Unit says procedure requires investigation after soldiers shoot Palestinian on Monday, throwing stones at traveling cars in West Bank.

A Palestinian was killed on Monday by IDF fire near the settlement of Kfar Tapuach in the West Bank. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that IDF forces observed Palestinians hurling rocks at the road and proceeded to apprehend the suspects, during which one of the stone throwers was shot.

He received an emergency treatment by the IDF, but later succumbed to his wounds. IDF officials said that an official Military Police investigation has been launched.

Lower Egyptian court forbids Jews from celebrating at Jewish mystic’s grave

The Egyptian court said its ruling was based on “moral offenses” committed during previous years at the 3-day Jewish festival celebrating Rabbi Jacob Abu Hasira’s birth.

The council of Arab UN ambassadors gathered on Monday to discuss the Palestinian Authority (PA) resolution set to be proposed at the UN Security Council, unilaterally demanding recognition and Israeli withdrawals – however, the vote on the resolution set for Monday looks to be postponed yet again.

Last Friday PA chief negotiator Saeb Erekat announced that the vote would be held that day, or at the latest this Monday. But according to PA foreign minister Riyad Al-Maliki, the vote doesn’t seem likely until the new year begins.

IDF open fire on violent Palestinians protesting near Israel’s border fence with Gaza

The IDF has reportedly opened fire on a group of Palestinian protesters who approached the border fence between Gaza Strip and Israel.

The incident, which has not yet been confirmed by the IDF, followed reports of a Hamas-backed protest held earlier in Gaza decring the Israeli-Egyptian blockade on Gaza.

The march was attended by Hamas’ Gaza leader Isamil Haniyeh who demanded the world free Gaza from the siege.

Hamas Bars Gaza War Orphans from Visiting Israel

Hamas on Sunday prevented dozens of children orphaned during its 50-day war with Israel from entering Israeli territory in a pre-arranged trip, organizers and officials said – despite Israel making the effort to allow the children to visit.

The week-long visit was planned for 37 children whose parents were killed by Israel in the Gaza Strip in July and August this year. It was organized by an Israeli kibbutz group and local Arab-Israeli officials.
