Having refrained from divulging details on the strike between Sunday night & Monday morning, Israel’s Defense Minister now confirmed that the last retaliatory strike actually involved destroying a Hamas attack tunnel on the border between Israel and Gaza, among the 18 Hamas targets hit in 2 waves of attacks.

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman confirmed the Israeli army destroyed a tunnel at the border between Israel and Gaza overnight between Sunday and Monday.

The Israeli army revealed on Sunday that it is holding the bodies of five militants killed last week when the Israel destroyed a “terror tunnel” that was burrowed into its territory from Gaza.

Lebanese newspaper: Hezbollah Busy Digging Attack-Tunnels Into Israel

A 17 yr-old Hamas’s military wing member, who was captured by the IDF after crossing border from Gaza, revealed an abundance of information to the Shin Bet regarding Hamas strategy and tunnel routes.

Israeli security forces arrested a 17-year-old Gazan who was a member of Hamas’s military wing last month, it was cleared for publication on Sunday. The teenager was arrested in a joint operation between the IDF, police, and the Shin Bet after the Palestinian crossed the border fence into Israel.

Egyptian security sources revealed on Friday that they found an iron underground attack tunnel leading from Gaza into Sinai, marking the first time that such a tunnel has been unearthed.

The find came as part of Egypt’s long-standing operation that began in October 2014 to create a massive buffer zone in southern Gaza. The operation has involved occupying a large swath of land at least one kilometer deep (over half a mile) along the 14-kilometer (9-mile) border, evicting thousands of Gazans, destroying their homes and mosques, and recently even creating a border moat.

A member of the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, was killed on Saturday after an accident occurred in one of the Islamist organization’s tunnels in the Gaza Strip.

According to Maan news, the group confirmed the identity of the man as Anwar Faraj al-Ghalban, 23, from Khan Younis, but refrained from revealing the circumstances of the accident, stating only that their members were doing their best to build more tunnels and make preparations for the group’s next confrontation with Israel.
