Media Silent as Palestinians Forcibly Convert Christians: They Can’t Blame Israel

Christians in Gaza held a rally against the abduction and forced conversion of their children. “Christians who converted to Islam did so under threats, coercion, compulsion and force,” said Christian leader.

By Ryan Jones

You’d think a story like this would be making major headlines, given the amount of attention that’s afforded every other aspect of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But the forced conversion of Christians to Islam by Gaza’s Hamas rulers just doesn’t seem to interest Western power brokers.

And that should be a wake-up call for any and all advocating a two-state solution.

Arab media commentator Raymond Ibrahim brings the story after surveying Arabic-language media, where the plight of Gaza Christians seems to be covered far more regularly. Continue Reading »

Watch: Hamas highlights Gaza’s wealthy neighborhoods, shopping malls, pristine beaches

Hamas, no longer claiming Gaza is destitute thanks to Israel, is now flaunting the enclave’s prosperity, and the good life of it’s citizens.

By Israel Today Staff

The “Gaza siege” is a favorite buzzword of the international media and the pro-Palestinian propagandists who feed it. The picture they have so successfully painted in the minds of most Westerners is that the entire population of Gaza is destitute, living in the most pitiable conditions known to man thanks to a heartless Israeli embargo.

And Gaza’s Hamas overlords encourage that perception, when it suits their agenda.

At other times, such as now, with Palestinian municipal elections looming, Hamas is looking to portray Gaza in a much different light. Continue Reading »

Gaza sewage poisoning its own coastline, now threatens Israel’s

Palestinian political infighting is keeping Gaza’s electricity off which fails to run their water treatment plants, so Hamas is dumping the enclave’s sewage into the sea, now threatening the Israeli coastline.

By The Associated Press

Each day, millions of gallons of raw sewage pour into the Gaza Strip’s Mediterranean beachfront, spewing out of a metal pipe and turning miles of once-scenic coastline into a stagnant dead zone.

The sewage has damaged Gaza’s limited fresh water supplies, decimated fishing zones, and after years of neglect, is now floating northward and affecting Israel as well, where a nearby desalination plant was forced to shut down, apparently due to pollution. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Christians outraged over Hamas destruction of unearthed church ruins in Gaza

West Bank Palestinian Christian cleric asks, “How are the Wakf officials in Gaza different from ISIS when they bulldoze antiquities and a religious and cultural treasure?”

By KHALED ABU TOAMEH

Palestinian Christians on Wednesday expressed anger over the way the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have handled the ancient ruins of a Byzantine church that were uncovered in Gaza City last week.

They said that bulldozers removed the antiquities and continued with their work without supervision. They accused the two big Palestinian parties of seeking to obliterate Christian history and identity in the Holy Land.

Kids removing sand covering carving from ancient ruins, which archaeologists say may be part of a Byzantine church or cathedral dating from around 1,500 years ago, were found in Gaza City April 4, 2016.

Bernie Sanders claims IDF was too indiscriminate, killing ‘10,000 innocents’ in Gaza

Apart from the IDF having the lowest combatant-to-civilian casualty ratio of any conflict ever recorded, democratic presidential candidate Sanders is of the opinion “Israel’s force was more indiscriminate than it should have been,” having killed “over 10,000 innocent people,” when in fact it was around a fifth of what Sanders suggested.

By Ari Soffer

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders has accused Israel of killing over 10,000 innocent civilians during 2014’s war with Gazan terrorists – in a gross inflation of the casualty statistics enough to make even Hamas’s own propaganda chiefs blush.

Sanders, who trails Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton by a significant margin, made the comments in a meeting with the New York Daily News editorial board, a transcript of which was published Tuesday. Continue Reading »
