REPORT: U.S. State Dept. denies visas to Israeli defense officials

Maariv reports: Mossad, IDF & Shin Bet officials were rejected entry visas. American Embassy says, ‘All visa requests examined individually.’

 

 

The United States is denying visa requests from Israeli military, defense establishment and intelligence officials, according to a report in Maariv.

Israeli defense establishment officials have discussed the matter in private meetings, after noticing a pattern emerging: Hundreds of individuals with ties to Israel’s defense establishment have been denied entry to the U.S. in the past year, or have been allowed in for only three months, according to the report.

Elite IDF unit captures wanted Hamas terrorist in West Bank

 

Ayoub al-Qawasmi, imprisoned by the Palestinian Authority and just released 2 weeks ago, was planning to rebuild Hamas’ terror infrastructure in the West Bank.

An IDF unit working undercover in Hebron arrested Ayoub al-Qawasmi on Tuesday evening, one of the commanders of Hamas’ military branch in the West Bank and one of Israel’s most wanted suspects.

Qawasmi, 50, is suspected of being involved in terrorist attacks against Israelis during the Second Intifada and has recently sought to renew Hamas’ terror infrastructure in the West Bank.

Shin Bet with Israel Police arrest 16 violent Hamas activists in Jerusalem

Members of Islamist terrorist movement are accused of setting up a learning program on Temple Mount that caused  increase tension & sparked public disturbances.

 

 

A group of 16 East Jerusalem residents have been arrested by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Israel police on suspicion of being part of a Hamas cell operating in eastern neighborhoods of the city and the Temple Mount, the security service stated on Tuesday.

The Shin Bet said that the 16 suspects also includes activists from the northern branch of the Israel Islamic movement, who were part of a collaboration with Hamas at the Temple Mount compound. Continue Reading »

Jerusalem exposes al-Qaida terrorist anti-American plot

Israel’s security agency revealed that the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Convention Center were among targets al-Qaida-linked group planned to attack.

Israel’s Shin Bet security agency revealed on Wednesday that it had arrested a terrorist unit that planned to blow up the Jerusalem convention center and the US embassy in Tel Aviv.

Israel Air Force Successful in Nighttime Surgical Elimination of Gaza Terrorist

In the successful joint IDF-Shin Bet operation, the PFLP terrorist who was centrally involved in recent rocket attacks on southern Israel was eliminated.

Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft struck in Gaza on Tuesday night and eliminated a terrorist who was involved in rocket attacks on Israel, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.

The statement identified the terrorist as Ahmed Zaaneen from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), who in the past was a member of the Islamic Jihad terror group. He was targeted in a joint IDF-Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) operation, said the statement. Continue Reading »

Palestinian from Gaza arrested for planning sniper attack on Israelis

Abu Amsa, 32, admitted under questioning that he had planned to carry out a sniper attack on IDF troops patrolling the Gaza border fence with Israel.

A Palestinian man from Gaza who had entered Israel to receive medical treatment was arrested for planning sniper attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers.

Mohammed Abu Amsa, 32, was arrested earlier this month in a joint operation of the Israel Shin Bet security agency and the Israel Police. A gag order on the case was lifted on Thursday.

Amsa postponed his planned sniper attack in order to receive treatment at a Ramallah hospital to restore his eyesight.

The Shin Bet has recently declared a state of enhanced readiness in Israeli embassies across Europe, in the wake of a security incident which took place in Israel’s Belgian facility.

A few days ago, security agents stopped a Belgian national who had converted to Islam at the entrance to embassy grounds. 2 Charities in Jerusalem – Fronts for Hamas – Closed By Security Forces

Israeli security forces on Thursday closed two offices in East Jerusalem they say served as a base for Hamas operations in the city.

The Shin Bet security service said the offices belonged to Al-Quds Development and Amara al-Aqsa (Al-Aqsa Properties), charities based in the northern Israeli cities of Umm al-Fahm and Nazareth.

Israel’s Security agency says Israeli Arabs are joining rebel forces in Syria operating with al-Qaeda, and whose training may be used later against Israel.

A disconcerting Shin Bet assessment warns that Arab Israelis are joining rebel forces in Syria and working with al-Qaeda terrorists.

According to the review, submitted to the State Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Court, there is a possibility that Arab Israelis who are being trained in Syria may use their knowledge against Israel – both by spreading ideologies and by using intel and military capabilities they’ve learned there.

Foreign Ministry strikes against Defense Ministry – Where’s Bibi?

Defense Ministry Director General Udi Shani sent an urgent letter Wednesday to Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he requested that he intercede to end the strike within the Foreign Ministry as soon as possible, in order to save Israel from possible harm to its security and diplomatic ties.

Israel warned by Hamas against harming Palestinian Minister

After Shin Bet published a report that Hamas Interior Minister Hammad was involved in plotting attacks against Israel, Hamas warns not to reciprocate.

The warning came in response to a Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) report that said that Hammad had been involved in plotting attacks against Israel.

The report, which was published Wednesday, revealed that Hammad had appointed a number of close aides affiliated with Hamas and the Defenders of al-Aksa group to smuggle explosives into the West Bank.
