Hebron: Two Palestinians terrorists shot dead in separate knife-attacks

 

VIDEO: In the first terror attack, a Palestinian assailant was shot dead by Border Police after stabbing an IDF soldier in the head near a security checkpoint in the West Bank city of Hebron.

 

The West Bank town of Hebron was the scene of two separate knife attacks against security forces on Thursday morning, resulting in the shooting deaths both Palestinian assailants.

An assailant stabbed four people taking part in a Gay Pride march in central Jerusalem Thursday, Israeli police and health services said.

The attack, which occurred on Keren Hayesod street in central Jerusalem, was carried out by an ultra-Orthodox Jewish man named as Yishai Schlisel by police.

After a wave of attacks targeting Jewish community centers in Europe, a group of European rabbis have decided that if and when the time comes, they will be prepared.

The heads of the European Jewish Association and the rabbinical center of Europe have decided to train European rabbis in self-defense and first aid for victims of terror attacks.

During a conference held in Prague Tuesday, 100 Rabbis gathered from across Europe to learn and practice basic-self defense practices used by security personnel and also received basic training in first aid. Continue Reading »

Hamas condoned on Wednesday a stabbing attack on a Tel Aviv bus which left nine people injured, calling it an act of heroism.

A 23-year-old man from the West Bank city of Tulkarm, illegally residing in Israel, stabbed nine Israelis on the 40 bus line near Maariv junction. Two of the victims were seriously wounded and several others suffered moderate injuries.

A terrorist stabbing attack took place Wednesday morning on a bus in central Tel Aviv, on Begin Road, near Beit Maariv. The terrorist in an Arab man, reportedly from Judea and Samaria.

A video taken a few minutes after the attack shows wounded civilians receiving first aid from emergency teams.

A video uploaded to Facebook by Jerusalem Councillor Arieh King shows the terrorist after his arrest.

Up to 17 people were reported wounded in the stabbing.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Saturday evening that he spoke by phone with Celine Charki, who was one of the hostages held at the kosher supermarket in Paris Friday. “Celine told me about the terrorist’s unfathomable cruelty and the heroism of a Jewish youth who tried to take his gun and shoot him,” he said.

The heroic action was apparently taken by hostage Johan Cohen, who was killed.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday presented a medal of honor to four IDF border guards and three IDF soldiers for their actions in preventing a major terror attack at the Tapuah junction last week. The ceremony took place in the Jerusalem Border Guard base in the presence of Amos Yaakov, head of the Border Guard Units, and Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich.

Israeli hurt when Palestinian Arab threw explosive at Bethlehem holy site

 

An explosive devise was hurled at Rachel’s Tomb, causing injuries to a Jewish man, who was evacuated to hospital by paramedics.

 

 

Palestinians hurled two improvised grenades at Israelis in Bethlehem on Monday evening in two attacks, injuring one civilian.

An explosive was thrown at Rachel’s Tomb, causing injuries to one man, who was evacuated to hospital by paramedics. Earlier, an explosive was thrown at an IDF base in the area. No injuries were reported in that attack.

Monday’s events are the latest indication that Palestinian violence is on the rise, though Israeli policymakers and defense experts remain doubtful that we are on the cusp of a third intifada. Continue Reading »

Nabbed Israeli Arab Charged in Bus Bomb Attack

A Bedouin Muslim with Israeli citizenship was charged Monday in the Tel Aviv Magistrates’ Court for his part in a failed bus bombing in the city of Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv. The bomb was successfully planted in a bus and detonated, but serious casualties were avoided thanks to the passengers’ and driver’s alertness, and swift action by police.

The Tel Aviv State Attorney’s Office filed charges against Mahmoud Abu Anza, 24, of Tel Sheva, for transporting the terrorist who planted the bomb. Continue Reading »

Security forces have arrested 14 members of an Islamic Jihad terrorist group from Bethlehem who is suspected of blowing up a bus in Bat Yam last month, it was cleared for publication on Thursday.

The passengers of the bus narrowly escaped the December 22 bombing when an alert passenger informed the driver of a suspected package on the bus.

2 Jerusalem Arabs Run Over Cop in Latest ‘Trickling of Terror’

In the latest attack in what MK Yoni Chetboun (Jewish Home) has termed “trickling terror,” two Arab residents of the Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya ran over a police officer who stopped them following a car chase Tuesday night.
