Outgoing U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon admitted Saturday that the United Nations is, in fact, biased toward Israel.

Delegation of 14 UN ambassadors in Israel ‘to see for themselves’

 

Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, hosted a delegation of 14 colleagues who toured Israel, including the Golan Heights & Gaza, while highlighting Israel’s technological developments and security challenges.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, led a delegation of 14 UN ambassadors to Israel as part of a project initiated by the American Jewish Committee and the Israeli delegation at the United Nations.

The delegation was attended by countries such as Argentina, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uganda, Georgia, Jamaica and Micronesia.

PLO calls for UN boycott of Jewish ‘settlements’

 

The PLO Executive Committee called on the submission of a resolution to the UN Security Council confirming the illegality of Jewish “settlements” in Judea and Samaria and the implementation of an independent State of Palestine within the borders of June 4, 1967 with its capital in eastern Jerusalem.

The PLO Executive Committee is calling for a boycott of “Israeli settlements” as part of a series of anti-Israel resolutions agreed upon during a meeting this past Thursday at the headquarters in Ramallah of Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

REPORT: Russian PM declares support of Jewish connection to Jerusalem

In a TV2 report, Russian PM Medvedev says, “Our country never denied Israel’s or the Jewish people’s rights to Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.”

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev spoke with Channel 2 about the Israel-Russia relationship.

During the interview Medvedev was asked about UNESCO’s decision to deny history and claim Israel has no connection to the Western Wall and other holy places in Jerusalem.

In a piece of diplomatic theatrics, Israel’s Ambassador to UNESCO Carmel Shama-Hacohen on Wednesday threw a copy of the Jerusalem resolution into a trash bin right after it was approved by the World Heritage Committee in Paris.

In a sign that European countries may be increasing their support for Israel’s battle against UNESCO’s Jerusalem resolutions, Italy announced on Friday that it would vote against such texts in the future.

Mexico forces UNESCO revote over despicable anti-Semitic Temple Mount resolution

 

After dismissal of Mexico’s Jewish envoy to UNESCO, protests, and issues with the contentious resolution of referring to the Kotel (Western Wall) & Har HaBayit (Temple Mount) by their Islamic name only, the issue will be reopened thanks to Mexico’s change of position.

The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will hold a new vote on a draft resolution that failed to acknowledge a Jewish connection to the Temple Mount because of a request by Mexico that is set to reopen discussions on it.

UNESCO Passes Resolution: Temple Mount and Western Wall exclusively Muslim

 

Only 6, the US, UK, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany & Estonia, of the 58 members of UNESCO, voted against the anti-Jewish, anti-Christian resolution.

In a 24-6 vote, UNESCO on Thursday gave its preliminary approval to a resolution that ignores Jewish ties to its most holy religious sites: the Temple Mount and the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Another 26 nations abstained and two were absent all together.

Those countries who voted in support of Israel were: the United States, Great Britain, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany and Estonia.

The UN’s Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) sent a letter to Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, requesting the release of Waheed Al-Bursh, an UNDP worker who was arrested in July for assisting the Hamas terror organization, claiming he should receive diplomatic immunity.
