The Palestinian Authority on Monday strongly condemned Israeli “incitement” against PA President Mahmoud Abbas and warned against its negative impact on the peace talks.

The PA’s attack came in response to statements made by Avigdor Liberman, chairman of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, who was quoted as saying that Abbas is not a peace partner.
Chief PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat described Liberman’s statements as “dangerous incitement” which in his view “reflected an Israeli desire to get rid of President Abbas.”

The United States Congress cancelled the delivery to Turkey of 10 Predators – unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) – following Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan’s disclosure of the identity of 10 Iranians who had been working for the Mossad, the Turkish Taraf daily reported on Monday.

Anti-Israel adherents continue to peddle the fiction that Jesus was a “Palestinian” who preached Islam.
According to Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), “One of the ways the Palestinian Authority attempts to create a Palestinian history is to deny the Judean/Jewish nationality of Jesus, and misrepresent him as a ‘Palestinian.’”
There exists a very real “history war” whereby Jewish history is being erased and replaced with an invented Palestinian history. According to PMW: “As part of its ongoing attempt to invent a Palestinian history, the Palestinian Authority tries to hitch a ride into the past with Jesus.
The High Court of Justice on Monday rejected by a tally of 5-2 a petition against the state’s unilateral decision on Israel’s natural gas export policy.

The petition, signed by a number of MKs, including opposition leader Shelly Yacimovich and Reuven Rivlin (Likud Baytenu) called for gas export policy to be determined by the Knesset.

Two mortar shells fired from Syrian territory at around noon Monday landed in an open area in the Israeli-controlled part of the Golan Heights, near Tel Fares. There were no reports of injury, and it remains unclear if any damage was caused. IDF forces were sweeping the area.

A 38 year-old Arab resident of Jerusalem’s Jabel Mukabar neighborhood has been sentenced to 42 months in jail for volunteering to spy for Hezbollah.

Issam Hashem Mashahara, who worked as a bus driver, reportedly traveled to the Lebanese capital Beirut of his own volition, and arranged to meet a group of Hezbollah operatives there.
