Iranian defector reveals US Sec. of State Kerry suckered into parroting Iranian demands

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has said the deal currently under discussion between Iran and world powers over Tehran’s nuclear program is even worse than he had feared.

“The dangerous accord which is being negotiated in Lausanne (Switzerland) confirms our concerns and even worse,” Netanyahu said in remarks at a meeting of his cabinet broadcast on public radio.

Netanyahu also highlighted concerns over Iran’s wider expansionist ambitions in the region via Shia Islamist proxies and other terrorist groups. Continue Reading »

The leader of Lebanon’s Shiite Hezbollah group unleashed a tirade against Saudi Arabia on Friday over its intervention in Yemen, saying the Sunni kingdom has abandoned the Palestinians and does not care to oppose Israel.

Hassan Nasrallah rejected Riyadh’s claim that it had assembled a coalition to conduct airstrikes against Shiite Houthi rebels in order to save Yemen, an operation named “Decisive Storm.”

Abbas Suggests That Arab League Attack Hamas

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas used the platform of the Arab League summit in Sharm el-Shekh, Egypt, this Saturday to attack his “unity partner” Hamas, making a subtle call for the Arab states to take military action against the Gaza-based Muslim Brotherhood offshoot.

Speaking at the 26th summit in the southern Sinai peninsula, Abbas made reference to the campaign of airstrikes launched last Thursday by Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries against Iran-backed Shi’ite Houthi rebels in Yemen – the Houthis have overthrown the government while rapidly expanding their control.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Friday the decision was made following the recommendation of Israel’s security establishment and because of humanitarian considerations.

France to Revive UNSC Resolution to Force Israel-PA Peace Talks

France moves to restart a UN Security Council resolution to renew deadlocked Israeli-Palestinian peace prospects.

France plans to begin talks at the United Nations on a new Security Council resolution to revive Israeli-Palestinian peace prospects, Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Friday, according to the AFP news agency.

Fabius told reporters at UN headquarters in New York that discussions on a text would start “in the coming days.”

The Security Council in December rejected a resolution that would have set a deadline for reaching a final peace deal and pave the way to the creation of a Palestinian state.

On Wednesday, the Jerusalem Municipality announced it is shelving plans to build 1,500 apartments in the Har Homa neighborhood. Officials gave no explanation for its sudden move. But none was needed.

Newest Israeli ally, Japanese PM follows Netanyahu to Address Congress

Boehner invites Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, a new key ally of Israel, who recently launched Japan’s largest warship since WWII, to address Congress.

Israel and Japan have become key allies in just under a year, and hints of that mutual influence appear to be on display again as it was announced Thursday that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will address Congress on April 29, after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke there March 3.

Republican House Speaker John Boehner, who invited Netanyahu, announced that Abe was invited on Thursday, noting he “will become the first Japanese leader to address a joint meeting of the United States Congress, and we are proud to host this historic event,” reports The Japan Times.

How does the Palestinian Authority (PA) education system look? A broadcast aired on official PA TV this Sunday and Wednesday gave an in-depth look at how children are being exposed to arts, theater – along with boycotting Israel and “killing Jews.”

In a broadcast from a school in Hevron holding a theater contest that was meant to use “culture” to teach children to boycott Israeli products, a boy interviewed said “I came to rehearse the play in order to boycott Israeli products and fight the Jews, kill them, and defeat them,” as translated by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).

Switzerland, Not EU Member, Bankrolls Hamas to Retain Control in Gaza

Even as the EU continues to sanction Hamas, the influx of Swiss financial support now bolsters the terrorist regime that was on its last legs.

Switzerland has put together a generous financial package to prop up the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip after billions in promised foreign donations following last summer’s Gaza war failed to materialize.

That according to Palestinian officials who spoke to Israel’s NRG news portal, which reported that as part of the deal, the Swiss government would pay the salaries of thousands of Hamas members – many of whom are known terrorists – thereby propping up Hamas rule.

Israeli scientists determine correct length of Saturn’s day

New research at Tel Aviv University established that the 6th planet takes 7 minutes less than what scientists previously determined to complete a full turn on its axis.

Israeli scientists have solved the mystery of Saturn’s days, determining that one day on the planet lasts 10 hours and a little more than 32 minutes – seven minutes shorter than originally calculated.
