Israel’s Police chief: Arab driver deliberately drove over Israeli Jews

A Palestinian driver deliberately rammed his car into a Jerusalem bus stop this week and killed an Israeli man in a “horrible attack”, police chief Yohanan Danino said on Saturday.

“Today we can say that it is a horrible attack,” Danino said in a statement after an investigation into Wednesday’s incident. He ruled out initial suggestions that it had been an accident.

“They can put a yellow patch on products from Judea and Samaria and the Golan,” the hawkish was quoted by the Ynetnews website as saying.

Friar Felix Fabri’s pilgrimage to the Holy Land over 500 years ago translated

A new translation from Latin, of one of Friar Felix Fabri famous 15th century pilgrimages to the Holy Land, includes humorous descriptions of the Tomb of the Patriarchs, Solomon’s Stables, and the Tomb of Absalom.

 

“The pilgrims should avoid wrapping white tarbushes, cloths or turbans, about their heads, since only the Muslims have the right to do so,” the Dominican theologian and medieval traveler Friar Felix Fabri (c. 1441-1502) recommended to his fellow pilgrims, either sincerely or ironically; it is not certain which.

The Legal Forum for Israel is preparing to submit a series of lawsuits against leftist organizations that call to boycott products from Judea and Samaria, after the High Court this week ruled that those calling to boycott the state of Israel must pay compensation for their economic damage.

“Daring actions are needed. Not just words,” said Barak, who himself was prime minister from 1999-2001.

Sirens went off for 2 minutes at 10:00 a.m. throughout Israel for Holocaust Remembrance Day. Jews, Christians and tourists alike stop whatever they’re doing to honor the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust.

 

At 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, Israel came to a standstill as sirens blared throughout the country to commemorate the 6 million Jewish victims of the Nazi regime. During the two minute siren, traffic came to a standstill and people stopped working to remember the Holocaust.

A new tunnel detection system developed by Elbit Systems will protect Israeli citizens from the threat of infiltration by Hamas terrorists.

Now, after two months of development, the Israel-based international defense electronics company says that they have created an effective system which uses sensors to detect tunnel building activity. The system will be implemented along the entire Israel-Gaza border, Elbit said.
