Barcelona telecom expo to host 150 Israeli companies

 

The Israel Export & Int’l Cooperation Institute’s pavilion will feature 140 of the 150 Israeli companies, and overall, one of every 13 booths will be represented by an Israeli telecom concern.

Some 150 Israeli companies will be featured in the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, one of the world’s top telecom exhibitions. The Israeli companies make up the conference’s fourth-largest delegation, after the U.S., Britain and France.

Israeli Cancer Cure Brings Amazing Results in American Tests

 

Innovative Israeli cure shows 94% of leukemia patients in clinical test in the U.S. exhibits signs of recovery.

An innovative Israeli-developed cure for leukemia that is currently being tested in the US is seeing amazing results.

The clinical tests have been run primarily on patients with advanced leukemia that were given only a matter of months to live. An astonishing 94 percent have reportedly shown improvement, and in more than half symptoms related to the cancer have disappeared all together.

Professor Stanley Riddell of the University of Washington, who is running the tests, cautioned that much work remains to clarify the results of the study, and it is still unknown if the treatment managed to remove the cancer completely, or if it will return in the aforementioned patients. An unmanned watercraft code-named the “Seagull” was unveiled by Elbit Systems on Monday afternoon in a demonstration that took place in the gulf of Haifa.

According to Elbit, the innovative watercraft operates autonomously and can perform a number of security related tasks, including submarine detection and underwater explosive ordinance detection and removal. Additionally, the “Seagull” can be used for patrols, electronic warfare, and underwater topographical surveys.

The vessel is 40 feet long and has the ability to operate continuously for 96 hours, and can carry out missions in a safer and more effective manner than can be done with other manned vessels. Continue Reading »

90 Israeli companies participated at the economic conference in China to “reveal more information & data about Israel,” to further expand the economic cooperation between China and the Jewish State.

Last week, Israel sent a delegation to the two-day investors’ summit in Beijing, which was called “unprecedented’ by the Ministry of Economy and Industry. At the event, 150 corporate leaders from 90 Israeli companies met with investors from all over China.

3,400 yr-old citadel unearthed in Israel’s coastal town of Nahariya

 

New construction project breathes new life into 3,400 yr-old citadel by preserving parts of the discovery for display for residents and visitors.

The Israel Antiquities Authority announced Tuesday that the remains of a 3,400 year old citadel that were recently uncovered in an archaeological excavation will be incorporated into a new apartment building in the northern coastal town of Nahariya.

The dig was carried out by the authority, working alongside members of youth groups and high school students.
