Power shortages have occurred repeatedly in Gaza in recent weeks, with homes in Gaza City typically getting around four hours a day — rather than at least eight normally.

Ignoring all others in Syria, UN organization appeals for donations to assist Palestinians

 

Unique to only Palestinians, who have their very own UN refugee relief organization, UNRWA seeks $411 million to support only the Syrian ‘Palestinian’ refugees.

The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees on Monday appealed for emergency funds to provide aid to nearly half a million Palestinians affected by the war in Syria.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency, UNRWA, said almost all the estimated 450,000 Palestinian refugees still inside Syria are in “critical need” of humanitarian aid in order to survive.

Report: Israel satellite photographs expose hidden Russian missile cache in Syria

 

Israel TV2 reports local satellite intel apparently proved what western intelligence agencies have long suspected: Syria is in possession of a wide array of Russia’s most advanced missiles.

An Israeli spy satellite has discovered a number of Russian mobile short-range ballistic missiles stockpiled in Syria, Channel 2 reported Friday.

In high definition photos taken by the Israeli “Eros B” satellite, the weapons, dubbed “Iskander” missiles, are clearly seen on trucks inside an army base in Latakia, located in western Syria.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) is facing a budget crisis after receiving only one half of the foreign donations it expected in 2016, Reuters reported.

“We had expected to get $1.2 billion in [foreign] support and offers but we have only received $640 million so far,” PA Prime Minister Rami Al-Hamdallah told the Al-Quds newspaper Tuesday.

With Abbas the least popular in the West Bank, Hamas’ no-State Solution wins

 

Since Abbas’ party is deeply fragmented and his leadership undermined with most Fatah members in Gaza defecting to Hamas and the majority of West Bank Palestinians wanting him out of office, there is no functional gov’t to lead an independent Palestinian state regardless of the antisemitic support given by the US (Obama’s gov’t), the UN and the EU.

REPORT: Egyptian army destroys 12 terror-tunnels along border with Gaza

 

Egypt has flooded a dozen tunnels along its border into the Sinai, where Egyptian security forces are fighting Islamic State-linked jihadists, after accusing Hamas of aiding and protecting them.

Twelve tunnels along the Gaza-Sinai border have been discovered and destroyed by Egypt, the Turkish state-run Anadolu news agency reports.

The report cited Egyptian army spokesman Tamer al-Rifae as saying that all the tunnels that linked the coastal enclave to Egypt has been destroyed. Al-Rifae did not provide details of how the tunnels were destroyed, or when.

In a BBC interview, head of the Jordanian army says ISIS unit in Syria’s Golan Heights, near the Jordanian border, may have possession of American anti-aircraft missiles.

Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mahmoud Freihat warned in an interview with BBC on Saturday that  fighters have anti-aircraft missiles.

In the interview, which was given in Arabic, Freihat referred specifically to the Syria-Jordan-Israel border, near the Golan Heights area.

After a Pakistani website posted a bogus report that Israel’s “Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon” threatened a nuclear strike on Pakistan should they deploy troops to Syria, the Pakistani Defense Minister replied: ‘Israel forgets Pakistan is a nuclear state.’

The response covers 1.1 million residents of the Gaza Strip, which has been under an Israeli blockade for the past decade, and half a million people in the occupied West Bank.
