The Norwegian YMCA-YWCA “encourages broad economic boycott of goods and services from Israel and Israeli settlements to pressure the Israeli government to follow up on U.N. resolutions and end the illegal occupation of Palestine,” the organization wrote in a statement published on its Norwegian-language website last week.
The United States is reportedly pressuring Israel to stop assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists, a number of whom have been mysteriously killed in a campaign thought to be carried out by Mossad.

Masked Palestinian Arabs broke into a IDF checkpoint near the Palestinian Authority (PA) settlement of Beit Furik, northeast of Shechem, after they cut through barbed wire fence surrounding the post.
A video surfaced on YouTube over the weekend showing masked men, who were armed with a chainsaw and hammers, sawing through checkpoint gate, smashing the windows of the armored guard position, and vandalizing the checkpoint. Agriculture Minister Yair Shamir and his Nigerian counterpart Dr. Akinwumi Adesina signed on Friday a joint declaration toward increasing agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

The ministers signed the agreement, which will focus on bolstering food security, in the Nigerian capital city of Abuja that day. The IDF estimates the rockets were not launched deliberately at Israel, but were the result of stray fire by one of the warring factions in Syria’s civil war.

The tensions on the northern border following Israel’s alleged strike in Lebanon have not skipped over the Golan Heights. The IDF Northern Command’s decision to raise the level of alert fearing a Hezbollah retaliation also affects the border with Syria, that has turned into a border as dangerous and as sensitive as the Lebanese border.

An online petition urging Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to help stamp out anti-Semitism on the social networking site had garnered nearly 17,000 signatures by Friday.

An Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft on Friday evening hit a rocket launcher in northern Gaza.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that the attack “was meant to remove the immediate threat of rocket firing into Israel.”
Gaza rocket attacks have been on the increase in recent weeks. Two Fridays ago, the calm of Shabbat was interrupted in southern Israel as terrorists from Hamas-controlled Gaza fired a Kassam rocket at the region.

Egypt security officials issued a strict warning to Hamas on Friday, telling the militant group that it would not accept the use of smuggling tunnels between the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula, according to a report by Israel Radio.
