France’s highest appeals court affirmed last week that boycott, divestment, and sanctions calls against Israel are a form of illegal hate speech.

The Guardian to publish BDS ad signed by 343 UK professors

Despite that academic boycotts do nothing to advance peace or improve the lives of Palestinians, and numerous  institutions are already reversing this anti-Israel trend, these UK professors prefer the publicity than seeking solutions through dialogue.

343 university professors from the United Kingdom signed a letter supporting an Israel boycott, and the letter is due to appear as a full-page advertisement in the British Guardian Tuesday.

UNESCO condemns Israeli ‘aggression’ once again, but rejects Islamizing Western Wall

 

Deleting the text calling on Judaism’s Kotel (Western Wall) as “an integral part of al-Aksa Mosque/al-Haram al-Sharif” because of pressure from Russia, US and the NGO’s Director-General Irina Bokova, UNESCO went on to condemn Israel for ‘aggressive actions’ on the Temple Mount.

UNESCO’s executive board on Wednesday solely condemned Israeli aggression on the Temple Mount but swayed away from reclassifying the Western Wall as a Muslim holy site.

Hundreds of protesters in the Swedish city of Malmo were filmed chanting in Arabic about slaughtering Jews and stabbing soldiers.

Israel TV2: Jerusalem messages King Abdullah that Jordan breaches Temple Mount status quo

Following Jordanian King Abdullah II’s criticism of Israel over recent violence on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, Israel reportedly responded to the monarchy and indicated that Jordan itself was allowing the status quo at the site to be broken.

Abbas: ‘Jews have no right to desecrate Temple Mount with their filthy feet’

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday that the Palestinians wouldn’t allow Israelis to “desecrate” Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Referring to the tensions surrounding visits by Jews to the Temple Mount, Abbas said: “Al-Aksa is ours and so is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. They have no right to desecrate them with their filthy feet. We won’t allow them to do so and we will do whatever we can to defend Jerusalem.”

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a news conference in Berlin on Monday that she would welcome Iran’s participation in the ongoing fight against ISIS in Syria, however Iran’s attitude and slander towards Israel must change.

A Spanish music festival has cancelled a performance by Jewish reggae star Matisyahu – because he refused to produce a statement clearly endorsing “Palestinian statehood,” according to Spanish media outlets.

Matisyahu – who shot to fame as a bearded “hassidic raggae” star, before leaving Orthodox Judaism in 2011 – was due to appear at the Rototom Sunsplash festival in Benicassim, north of Valencia. Israel’s Channel 2 recently dedicated a full 15 minutes to the anti-Israel group Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP). Reporter Danny Kushmaro brought to an Israeli audience awareness of “the Jews that stand behind the boycott of Israel.” For me, a longtime “student” of JVP, as well as many Americans, there would be little surprise to hear the venomous rhetoric disgorged by JVP activists. UN Human Rights Council Ratifies Biased Protective Edge Report

Israel’s UN envoy condemns decision, calls widely adopted resolution ‘an anti-Israeli manifesto’ which ignores multiple int’l law violations by Hamas.

The UN Human Rights Council on Friday voted to adopt a report made by a UN inquiry commission on Operation Protective Edge in Gaza last summer, calling on Israel and the Palestinians to prosecute alleged war crimes and to cooperate with the International Criminal Court’s preliminary investigation.
