While Arab assailants have long been desecrating the Mount of Olives Jewish cemetery in Jerusalem, said to be the oldest still-in-use cemetery in the world, shocking video footage reveals that for the Jewish holiday of Purim last Friday (in Jerusalem) they went farther than usual in trashing Jewish graves.

Jerusalem Councilman Arieh King on Tuesday posted video documenting the damage, which was filmed by Joshua Wander, a dual Israeli and American citizen who has run as a republican candidate for mayor of Pittsburgh.

Pop star Madonna told French radio on Thursday that “intolerance” was now so high in France and Europe that “it feels like Nazi Germany,” according to the AFP news agency.

Five adolescents aged 15 to 17 have been detained for questioning in eastern France over the vandalism of Jewish graves, a local prosecutor said on Monday.

All five are from the region of Sarre-Union in Alsace, where around 300 tombs were defaced and damaged on Thursday.

Hundreds of Jewish gravestones vandalized as French antisemitism persists

News of the desecrated tombstones come a day after a deadly terror shooting at a Denmark synagogue, which resembled the terrorist attack at a Jewish supermarket in Paris last month.

 

PARIS – Several hundred Jewish tombs have been damaged in a cemetery near the northeastern French city of Strasbourg, the French interior minister said on Sunday.

A Brussels high school teacher was summoned to appear before a local school board for telling a Jewish student, “We should put you all on freight wagons.”

The incident occurred at the Belgian capital’s Emile Jacqmain school and involved a 16-year-old female student and her mathematics teacher, the La Derniere Heure magazine reported Friday.

3 French soldiers were lightly injured by Muslim attacker with same surname as the terrorist that killed 4 Jewish patrons at a Paris kosher supermarket last month.

 

Three French soldiers were stabbed outside of a Jewish community center in Nice, France, AFP reported on Tuesday.

None of the soldiers were seriously wounded and the attacker was detained. French media reported that the name of the attacker was Moussa Coulibaly, who shares the same surname as the attacker that killed four Jewish patrons at a Paris kosher supermarket last month. Continue Reading »

The Church of England has launched an investigation into charges of anti-Semitism made against one of its more controversial vicars, Dr. Stephen Sizer.
