Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh this week reiterated that the Palestinian Arabs as a whole will never recognize Israel’s right to exist, and certainly not to exist as the Jewish state.

Gaza’s Christians Concerned as Hamas Bans Co-Ed Schools

Another strict Islamic sharia law was passed banning co-ed schools in Gaza leaves Christians worrisome that their schools are in danger of closure.

A new law passed by the Hamas government in Gaza banning co-ed schools has left many Christians fearful that their schools are in danger of closure, according to the Beirut-based Al-Akhbar daily.

The new law, which mandates gender segregation in all schools, also bans men from teaching at girls’ schools. The law will likely force Christian educational institutions to close their doors to Muslim and Christian students alike, reported the newspaper.

Samer Badra, financial director of the Patriarchate Schools in Gaza, told Al-Akhbar, “Implementing the new education law will force Gaza’s Christian institutions to build new facilities and hire new employees to comply with the articles. Continue Reading »

A rocket fired by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza early Wednesday morning landed in Palestinian territory. A siren was heard in Ashkelon and the surrounding area at around 5:40 am.

Hamas to execute two Gazans as “collaborators” with Israel

Hamas is planning to execute two Palestinians from the Gaza who were recently convicted of “collaborating” with Israel.

A Hamas official said that the two men, who were not identified, would be executed by hanging before the end of this month, or probably as early as next week.

The official said that the two men had been convicted by a Palestinian court of passing on to Israeli authorities information that led to the killing of Palestinians.

Salah Eddin Abu Sharkh, a senior official with the Hamas-run Ministry of Interior, confirmed that his government was planning to execute convicted “collaborators” in the near future.

A Palestinian man who was detained by the Palestinian Authority security forces in Hebron has lost the ability to speak as a result of severe torture, according to a report released by the Independent Commission for Human Rights.

Mohamed Abdel Karim Dar of Hebron was hospitalized after being tortured while in detention, the report, which documented 28 cases of torture in PA prisons in the West Bank last month, said.

New York law enforcement late Wednesday busted a smuggling ring, consisting of suspected members of Hamas and Hezbollah, that has been funneling millions of dollars of funds to terrorist organizations from the sale of tax-free cigarettes, the New York Daily News reported citing local law enforcement officials.

According to the report, The New York state attorney general and the New York Police Department (NYPD) arrested 16 members of the group.

The ring had infiltrated the market with the sales of over one million cartons of tax-free cigarettes smuggled from Southern states, where they were bought at cheaper prices, legal authorities were reported as saying .
