After long chain of tunnel collapses, second Gaza terrorist killed in 48 hours

 

Monday, a Hamas member was killed in a Gaza terror-tunnel collapse, just 48 hours after Saturday’s tunnel collapse that also killed a Palestinian terrorist.

A member of the Gaza based Hamas terror group died Monday when a tunnel collapsed east of Rafah, the group’s military wing the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades said.

The man killed was named as Emir Jaber Al Hamad Abu Taima , 21, from Khan Younis.

Israel charges UN-Hamas double-agent in Beersheba District Court

 

UN Development Program has alternately expressed condemnation of their Gaza engineer’s alleged betrayal, while implying that maybe Israel’s charges may be inaccurate.

A senior United Nations engineer in the Gaza Strip was arraigned Thursday in Beersheba District Court on charges that he abused his post in order to aid Hamas, including using the construction of a port as a base of operations for its naval commandos.

An advocate-general at the European Court of Justice, whose advice is usually followed by judges, recommended on Thursday that they reject an appeal by the Council of Europe against the lower EU court’s decisions in late 2014 to remove both Hamas and the Tamil Tigers of Sri Lanka from the sanctions list due to flawed procedures. US blacklists senior Hamas official

 

The US State Department adds Fathi Hammad, a former Hamas interior minister, to its “global terrorist” blacklist.

The United States on Friday added senior Hamas member Fathi Hammad to its “global terrorist” list, AFP reports.

Hammad in the past served as Hamas’s interior minister.

Hamas, the terrorist group which controls Gaza, has already itself been proscribed by the United States as a “foreign terrorist organization.”

Under the new designation, U.S. citizens and companies will be banned from doing business with Hammad and any property he holds in areas under U.S. jurisdiction will be frozen.

Lior Lotan, the prime minister’s envoy on hostages and missing persons, said on Tuesday that Hamas has rejected several offers to swap all of its men captured—both dead and alive—during Operation Protective Edge in exchange for the remains of Israeli soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul.

Hamas will “never forgive” the United Kingdom for enabling Israel’s existence, a spokesperson for the terror group said Saturday.

“Britain conquered the land of Palestine and was the first to support the ‘Nakba’,” Yasser Ali, Hamas’s “Palestinian refugees” official, stated to Palestine magazine. ‘Nakba’ is the Arabic term for ‘Catastrophe,’ i.e. Israeli Independence in 1948.
