IDF responds to armed rioters on Gaza fence, 5 Palestinians killed, 35 wounded

 

After giving warnings, IDF forces open fire killing at least 5 Gazans, wounding 35, when some 400 Palestinians riot near Gaza border fence with Israel.

IDF troops killed five Palestinians on Friday afternoon, after firing live rounds at violent riots near the northern border of the Gaza Strip. 

Israeli troops reportedly fired at the Palestinians after they approached the no-go buffer zone enforced on the Gaza side of the northern border fence. Thirty-five others were wounded in the incident.

IDF, Arab Rioters Clash After Funeral of Female Terrorist Shot Dead Attacking Soldier

 

The clashes followed the funeral of 18 yr-old female terrorist who died after being shot by the IDF at a checkpoint on Tuesday as she tried to stab an Israeli soldier.

Clashes broke out Wednesday between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in Hevron following the funeral of a female terrorist shot dead after trying to stab a soldier.

Around 50 rioters threw stones at soldiers, who responded with stun grenades and tear gas in the flashpoint city, cite of Judaism’s second holiest site, the Tomb of the Patriarchs, and where some 500 Israeli Jews live under heavy guard surrounded by largely hostile Palestinians. Continue Reading »

Israeli security forces in the West Bank late Thursday shot and critically injured a Palestinian who hurled a Molotov cocktail at an Israeli vehicle, causing it to overturn, local media outlets reported.

The driver, however, reportedly emerged unharmed from the incident.

An accomplice of the Palestinian assailant was detained after attempting to flee the scene.

New IDF Radar For Mortars Add 7-8 Seconds Warning for Civilians to Seek Cover

 

Newly improved radar alert system for mortars to be operational by the middle of October, IDF reports.

A new radar system to detect mortars was successfully tested recently, and will improve the alert warning time for incoming projectiles by 7-8 seconds, the IDF announced on Sunday.

IDF Southern Command and security firms have already stationed the systems, which will probably start operating by the middle of next month.

IDF: Israel has facilitated the entry of 1,700,000 tons of construction material into Gaza (since end of 2014 conflict) that Hamas is seizing for its construction of attack tunnels.

Gaza Reports 1 Dead, 1 Wounded by IDF When Approaching Border With Israel

Palestinian man shot dead and another Gazan wounded by IDF gunfire after they refused to turn back & continued to approach security fence on Israel’s border despite multiple warnings.

A Palestinian Arab man was killed and another wounded by Israeli gunfire in the northern Gaza Strip Friday after they approached the border with Israel, a medical official told the AFP news agency.

Gaza health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said 27-year-old Mohammad Al-Masri died of his wounds after being shot near the border fence west of the Beit Lahiya area.

Arab Terrorist Killed Attacking IDF in Samaria

When Arabs took to the street and rioted to prevent the IDF from carrying  out an arrest by the Border Police in Jenin, a 21 yr-old attacker was shot dead.

A 21 year old Arab man was shot and killed by Border Police in Birqin, west of Jenin, before dawn Wednesday.
