The Defense Ministry’s Rehabilitation Department has recognized 19 soldiers, police and Border Police officers injured in the current terror wave as disabled veterans.

The recognition was fast-tracked to allow the injured officers immediate disability benefits.

The Rehabilitation Department presented the new cases to the Knesset Comptroller’s Committee on Wednesday, noting that among the disabled veterans recognized since October 2015, 12 are police or Border Police career officers, while seven are soldiers or Border Police officers completing their mandatory service.

Abbas’ Fatah Announces: Suicide Bombings Are Top Priorities

Fatah’s ‘terror wing’ of the PA, the ruling Palestinian party, follows Hamas in its calling for suicide bombings, urges continued ‘popular struggle’ against the Israelis.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, the “terrorism arm” of the Fatah movement behind the government of Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, welcomed the shooting attack on the Be’er Sheva Central Bus Station Sunday, calling it a “heroic operation.”

“We call upon the Arab and Islamic nation to shoulder its responsibility towards Al-Aqsa Mosque,” the Brigades added in a statement, promising to “respond quickly” to “the enemy.”

Beersheba Terrorist Identified as Israeli Bedouin From Town of Hura

The Palestinian terrorist left 2 men killed and 10 others injured in his attack on Israelis at the Beersheba bus station Sunday night.

The Palestinian terrorist who opened fire on passengers at the central bus station in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba Sunday evening was identified as 21 year-old Bedouin man Mohaned al-Okhbi, an Israeli citizen from the southern Bedouin town of Hura.

Israel’s gov’t approves expanded stop-&-frisk law in wake of Palestinian stabbing attacks

If the bill passes in the Knesset, security personnel will be allowed to search anyone in a place prone to violence, should they think there’s reasonable suspicion to think the suspect may be carrying a weapon.

A bill expanding the meaning of probable cause for searching a suspect’s person for weapons was approved by the cabinet Sunday.

“Following recent terrorist attacks, there is an urgent need to give the police authority to conduct body searches in order to better deal with knife terrorism,” Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, who proposed the amendment, explained.

Security Guard Shoots Female Palestinian Terrorist Thwarting Attack in Afula

Armed security guard neutralizes female knife-wielding Arab terrorist in the 4th barbaric attack on Friday.

A female terrorist attempted to stab a security guard at the Afula central bus station Friday afternoon, in the fourth stabbing incident in under four hours.

The assailant approached the guard, stationed at the entrance of the bus terminal, armed with a knife.

She was shot and neutralized on the spot, and is being treated for moderate wounds.

Police forces on site are scanning the area for further potential threats. The scene has been closed off, and the public is advised to stay away from the bus terminal.

A judge in New York on Monday ordered the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to post $10 million in cash or bond while they appeal a jury’s finding that they supported terrorist attacks in Israel, Reuters reported.

At a court hearing in Manhattan, U.S. District Judge George Daniels said the defendants must also deposit $1 million each month pending the appeal of a February jury verdict worth $655 million in favor of 10 American families. Continue Reading »

Three Israelis were wounded in a vehicular terror attack Thursday afternoon at Sinjil junction, near Shiloh in Samaria, several kilometers north of Jerusalem.

Two of the wounded Israelis are in serious condition, suffering from “multi-system damage,” according to paramedics.The third victim was lightly hurt.

A helicopter was called in to transport the wounded to hospital. Magen David Adom doctors and paramedics were administering initial care to all three casualties, with the aid of an IDF medical team. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Gov’t Official Indicted Under Multiple Terrorism Charges

Israeli military court charges Palestinian lawmaker Khalida Jerrar with 12 counts including supporting terrorism & being a member of an illegal terror organization.

Palestinian lawmaker Khalida Jerrar was charged with 12 counts by a Israeli military court in connection to her membership with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, according to a report released Friday by Amnesty International.

Jerrar, who has been detained by Israeli authorities since April 2, had the charges brought against her Wednesday. Charges included membership of an illegal organization, participation in protests, and incitement to kidnap Israeli soldiers, according to Palestinian news agency Ma’an

Earlier this month, IDF soldiers arrested Jarrar during a pre-dawn raid on her home in Ramallah for violating an injunction issued last August ordering her to remain in the Jericho area. Continue Reading »
