WATCH: Ex-wife of killed Lebanese terrorist says Samir Kuntar’s death was warranted

Kifah Kayyal, the divorced Palestinian wife of  Lebanese Druse terrorist Samir Kuntar, said on Monday that her ex-husband’s murder was justified, according to a report by Memri.

While Hezbollah and Syrian state media have blamed Israel for Kuntar’s death claiming he was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Damascus on Saturday, the Israeli government has yet to confirm or deny any involvement in his death. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Survey: 67% of respondents support knife-attacks against Jews

 

65% of the Palestinian public are in favor of Mahmoud Abbas resigning as President of the Palestinian Authority with only 35% saying that they’re satisfied with his performance.

Two thirds of the Palestinian public want Abbas to resign and another two thirds support an armed intifada and the current wave of stabbing attacks across Israel and the West bank, a new survey has revealed.

The survey conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Ramallah, asked Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank a number of questions relating to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, their level of confidence in their leaders, the future of the Oslo accords and their opinion on the Islamic State. A recent report published by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) brings to light some painfully glaring contrasts developing amongst the ranks of the Palestinian Authority.

The chief executive of SodaStream, the beverage maker that is shuttering its West Bank factory in the face of international boycott calls, accused his company’s critics Wednesday of anti-Semitism and hurting the interests of the Palestinian workers they claim to protect.

Palestinian Laborers Living Under PA Rule Go To Court Demanding Israeli Law

Arab workers go to court demanding Israeli law be applied to a factory where they work in Samaria that’s under Palestinian Authority jurisdiction, but Israeli courts reject their petition.

A group of Arab residents of Samaria living under the administration of the Palestinian Authority (PA) has submitted a legal demand asking that Israeli employment laws be implemented in the area where they work – the industrial region of Nitzanei Shalom, just over the 1949 Armistice lines to the east of Netanya.

The reason for the suit is a desire on the part of the Arab workers to receive various social rights enshrined in the Israeli laws, benefits they currently do not enjoy under the PA. Continue Reading »

Israel Increases Water Supply to West Bank, Jordan & Gaza

Israel’s national water authority says ability now exists to double the amount supplied to Gaza, with water supplies to Palestinian West Bank and Jordan to substantially increase as well.

Israel’s national water company Mekorot, in accordance with the Water Authority’s guidelines, recently doubled its water supply to the Gaza Strip by 5 million cubic meters. The annual supply will now amount to 10 million cubic meters of water.

The new water supply of 5 million cubic meters to the Gaza Strip will come from two sources including the Nahal Oz pipeline in the south and an older line in the Kissufim area that provides water to the center of the Strip. Continue Reading »

Israel Customs Authority Confiscate Islamic State Rings Imported by Palestinians

ISIS Beheading Syrian Palestinians in Damascus Suburb of Yarmouk

Islamic State has seized nearly all of the Yarmouk district, currently 18,000 Palestinians residing from the over 100,000 pre-war population.

The savage Islamic State (ISIS) organization has seized nearly all of the Palestinian district of Yarmouk in Damascus, activists said Saturday, and there are reports of beheadings and mass killings of Palestinians.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) watchdog group said the Islamist militants have taken over 90% of Yarmouk, on the southern edge of the Syrian capital.

The Financial Times cited activists who said that the jihadi group may succeed in cementing a foothold in the Syrian capital, thus increasing pressure on President Bashar al-Assad.

Report: Palestinians working for Israelis doubles for 2014

The 92,000 Palestinians who work for Israelis earn an average of NIS 198 (about $52) per day, while Palestinian working under the Palestinian Authority, make NIS 91 per day, or 45% of those in Israel.

 

The number of Palestinians working for Israelis on either side of the Green Line doubled in the last four years and now make up 2.2 percent of all workers in the country, according to the Bank of Israel’s upcoming 2014 annual report.

VIDEO: Palestinian PM Screams ‘Foul’ After Car Stopped by Israel Police for Speeding

Ma’an News Agency reports Palestinian PM Rami Hamdallah’s convoyed was stopped again while traveling to Ramallah, this time according to Israel Police, the convoy was speeding.

 

Israel Police on Sunday stopped the convoy of the Palestinian prime minister in the West Bank, Ma’an news agency reported.

The convoy of Rami Hamdallah was traveling between Tulkarem and Ramallah, when it was stopped for about half an hour by police, according to the report.

Police said the convoy was held up because it was speeding near the settlement of Eli, but an official from Hamdallah’s office denied that to Ma’an.
