An Israeli pro-settlement group is campaigning for Britain to leave the EU in response for what it says is its pro-Palestinian stance, one of its officials said on Sunday.

Regavim is a right-wing NGO that supports Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

Its campaign includes a mock video of a masked Palestinian militant purportedly from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip urging UK citizens to remain in the European Union because it supports the Palestinians. Continue Reading »

A woman was killed in a fatal road accident near Beersheva yesterday (Sunday), after crashing into a caravan of camels which were roaming the roads unattended.

EU charged in court for funding illegal Palestinian construction

Settlers on Monday asked the High Court of Justice to order the demolition of 15 Palestinian homes in Area C of the West Bank, which they say are illegal and funded by the European Union.

The modular structures with cement floors located within the boundaries of the Kfar Adumim settlement were built in 2015 and house Palestinian Beduin.

Israel demolishes illegal EU structures also built in violation of Oslo Accords

EU condemns demolition of prefab buildings illegally erected on outskirts of Arab neighborhood of Issawiya, inhabited by Bedouin communities on state land.

Israeli authorities on Tuesday demolished an EU-funded shelter in Arab east Jerusalem, the European Union said, denouncing the move.

The blue EU logo seen on new modular structures in an illegal Bedouin encampment in the Judean hills outside the Ma’alen Adumim settlement.

“We condemn today’s demolition of temporary shelters funded by the European Union… as part of its response to the needs of the affected communities,” an EU statement said.

The IDF Civil Administration ordered the expropriation on Tuesday of land between the Samaria communities of Hizmeh and Adam, both of which are located just north of Jerusalem, so as to widen the local road there to have two lanes and ease traffic congestion.
